I Am Personhood Series

Every person has a story. Every life has value.   Every human life is created by God for a specific purpose. In the chaos and noise of the culture, we often forget this beautiful truth. Our I Am Personhood series provides a glimpse into the individual lives of those in the Christian pro-life movement, as they share their stories of tragedy, triumph, and truth. In this edition, we feature the tragic, yet beautiful testimonies of the rape-conceived and mothers from rape—those labeled "the exceptions," even within pro-life circles. These stories are brought to you by Save the 1, an organization that supports and empowers women who become pregnant by rape and their children conceived in rape, as well those given a poor prenatal diagnosis.

VIEW THE COURSE Monthly Stand Out for Life Rally grows  Every month, the Rochester, NY chapter of Sidewalk Advocates for Life, led by Jim Havens, partners with Rescue Rochester and Love Will End Abortion to hold a Stand Out for Life Rally in front of a local Planned Parenthood. This month's rally is set for 9:00-10:30 am ET on Sat., Aug. 25th. "Over 100 have come out for the rallies," says Rescue Rochester director Mike Warren. "It's very powerful to peacefully and prayerfully advocate for life. Praise and worship go up, and His presence comes down." For more information about this monthly event, email Jim Havens. Argentina says sí a la vida! Personhood Alliance rejoiced with the people of Argentina on August 9th as the senate narrowly rejected the legalization of abortion up to 14 weeks. While global abortion activists call it a "temporary setback," the pro-life movement celebrates the victory and prepares itself for the battle ahead. The slippery slope of research Biblical personhood is about more than ending legal abortion. It's about building culture and law on fixed, objective truth. Either all human life, created in God’s image, is valued and protected from its biological beginning or everything is arbitrary and subjective. Case in point, the debate among advocates of embryonic research currently focuses on whether a 14-day limit on research should be extended to allow for additional experimentation "without any moral consternation."  READ THE ARTICLE

The latest population control efforts target Africa...again Behind a new abortion study in Nigeria, Uganda, Côte d’Ivoire, and Ethopia lies a familiar foe with a nefarious agenda. "The true goals of this research," says Les Riley, president of our affiliate Personhood Mississippi, "are an assault on Christian-influenced cultures, the removal of all legal barriers to abortion, the eroding of family, and the loosening of cultural taboos against libertine sexuality."
