The name-calling is not very persuasive—on either side. Nevertheless, I’d like to invoke an even older moral dispute and suggest that pro-choicers, and sometimes prolifers, can resemble the Sadducees of ancient Judea. This is incredible news, especially considering that pro-abortion advocates have long said that outlawing abortions will not end them, but simply relegate them to back alleys. While the actual drop in abortions is likely smaller than the estimate—because it did not account for medication-induced abortions or other abortions outside of the law—this is still promising news, which should inspire pro-lifers to keep working to preserve life in their own states.
