Bible Publisher Beats Obama Abortion-HHS Mandate in Court
A federal court today stopped enforcement of the Obama administration s abortion pill mandate against a Bible publisher which filed a lawsuit against it.
The mandate has generated massive opposition from pro-life groups because it forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception under threat of heavy penalties. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/bible-publisher-beats-obama-abortion-hhs-mandate-in-court/
Catholic Bishops: We Will Not Obey Immoral HHS-Abortion Mandate
Video has surfaced of Cardinal Timothy Dolan, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, who said the Catholic Church will not obey the pro-abortion HHS mandate the Obama administration put forward.
The only thing we re certainly prepared to do is not give in not violate our consciences and not obey what we consider to be something immoral, Dolan said Tuesday, as LifeNews reported. That we re committed on. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/catholic-bishops-we-will-not-obey-immoral-hhs-abortion-mandate/
Republican Party Must Remain Pro-Life, Against Abortion
Not surprisingly, in the immediate aftermath of President Obama s win over Mitt Romney last week, many Republicans bared their fangs at the social-conservative wing of the party, either subtly or not so subtly, blaming the loss on those who vote our values. Now, more than ever, our party needs to hold onto our pro-life, pro-human-rights values. In fact, the Republican Party should become more fiercely aligned to the pro-life position than ever.
Despite what you may have heard from the Democratic National Convention, it s not an unpopular position. More than half of our country identifies as pro-life, including the majority of women and young people. Hispanics, Latinos and blacks are overwhelmingly pro-life and support traditional family values. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/republican-party-must-remain-pro-life-against-abortion/
Franklin Graham: Non-Voting Christians Aided Obama Re-Election
Franklin Graham, the son of evangelical preacher Billy Graham, says Christians who didn t bother to show up at the polls are party to blame for President Barack Obama s re-election earlier this month.
While the majority of voters who are Christians and faithful Catholics voted for Mitt Romney over the pro-abortion president, millions of Christian voters stayed home and post-election analysis shows a low turnout paved the way for Obama to win another four-year term. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/franklin-graham-non-voting-christians-aided-obama-re-election/
Six Abortion Clinic Workers Quit During 40 Days for Life Event
The recently-concluded 40 Days for Life campaign is responsible for saving the lives of hundreds of babies from abortion, thanks to pro-lifers giving women abortion alternatives information.
But the campaign also had another tremendous success six abortion clinic workers quit their jobs thanks to the prayers of dedicated pro-lifers participating in the nationwide event. Shawn Carney, the director of the campaign, has more on the abortion workers who just quit their jobs at the end of this 40 Days for Life campaign and how Planned Parenthood is on the defensive. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/six-abortion-clinic-workers-quit-during-40-days-for-life-event/
Speaker Boehner: Repeal Obamacare, Until Then States Must Reject It
President Obama has won re-election, but his health care law is still driving up costs and making it harder for small businesses to hire workers. As was the case before the election, ObamaCare has to go.
As I told Diane Sawyer of ABC News in an interview following the election, the tactics of our repeal efforts will have to change. But the strategic imperative remains the same. If we re serious about getting our economy moving again, solving our debt, and restoring prosperity for American families, we need to repeal ObamaCare and enact common-sense, step-by-step reforms that start with lowering the cost of health care. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/speaker-boehner-repeal-obamacare-until-then-states-must-reject-it/
How the GOP Can Win the Latino Vote A Hispanic Perspective
I live in a community that isn t just predominantly Hispanic it is almost exclusively Hispanic. During election cycles I make sure that what little television I watch or radio I listen to is in Spanish, and unless I m speaking with a monolingual English-speaking coworker or friend on the phone, I never hear the English language spoken and yes, I live in the United States.
At the bodega, the gas station, the dry-cleaners, the bakery or just walking down the street I am immersed in not only the language but the culture as well. Unlike many others who ve written, blog-posted or spoken about this election and how it relates to Hispanics I actually lived it.http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/how-the-gop-can-win-the-latino-vote-a-hispanic-perspective/
Bobby Jindal: GOP Must Keep Core Conservative Principles
In the aftermath of the presidential elections, an opinion column pro-life Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal wrote on CNN s website has been bandied about the Internet quite a bit. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/bobby-jindal-gop-must-keep-core-conservative-principles/
Why I Will Never Go Back to Being Pro-Choice on Abortion
I am pro-life because of information. I was pro-choice because of lack of information. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/why-i-will-never-go-back-to-being-pro-choice-on-abortion/

Doctor: Savita s Death No Reason to Change Ireland Pro-Life Law
Savita Halappanavar was an Indian woman who tragically died in Ireland from overwhelming infection after allegedly being denied an abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/doctor-savitas-death-no-reason-to-change-ireland-pro-life-law/
Savita Died Because Doctors Failed to Follow Irish Pro-Life Law
The case of Savita Halappanavar should cause anyone concerned about the well-being of women to be incensed. As a resident of Galway City, as a medical student, and as a pro-life activist, I m appalled and deeply saddened by her case. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/savita-died-because-doctors-failed-to-follow-irish-pro-life-law/
Supreme Court Staffer Biases Phill Kline Ethics Hearing
As the Kansas Supreme Court met this morning to hear oral arguments in the ethics case against former State Attorney general Phill Kline, an appellate court clerk was tweeting disparaging messages about Kline from the Court that indicated she may have inside information on how the seven-member panel would rule. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/16/supreme-court-staffer-biases-phill-kline-ethics-hearing/
