Supreme Court Orders New Look at Obamacare, Abortion Funding
The Supreme Court today ordered a federal appeals court to take a new look at the controversial Obamacare law and whether it unconstitutionally forces taxpayers to fund abortions and birth control, violating religious freedoms.

The high court ordered the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to consider the case of Liberty University, a Christian college that contends Obama s health care law violates the school s religious freedoms. A federal judge rejected the case and the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the lawsuit was premature but did not deal with the main points the lawsuit brought up. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/26/supreme-court-orders-new-look-at-obamacare-abortion-funding/

Senate May Vote Wednesday on Treaty Promoting Abortion
The Senate may vote on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) this week, a measure that has had pro-life advocates concerned for months. The U.S. already enacted the strongest piece of disabilities legislation in the world but international activists are pushing the measure anyway.

Ton Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council, has previously noted the pro-life concerns, saying abortion advocates put language in the treaty in Article 25 that requires signatories to provide persons with disabilities free or affordable health care including in the area of sexual and reproductive health and population-based health programs. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/26/senate-may-vote-wednesday-on-treaty-promoting-abortion/

Pro-Life New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Will Seek Re-Election
Governor Chris Christie, a pro-life advocate who is the governor of New Jersey, filed papers today to seek re-election. His race, along with the race for governor in Virginia, are the two most high-profile election battles in 2013, an off election year for Congress.

Christie has delighted pro-life advocates on multiple occasions by vetoing bills handed to him by the state legislature that would force state taxpayers to finance the Planned Parenthood abortion business. In June, for the fourth time, Christie vetoed such a bill. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/26/pro-life-new-jersey-gov-chris-christie-will-seek-re-election/

Rick Santorum Open to Running for President Again in 2016
Rick Santorum became the surprise conservative candidate in the Republican presidential election process in 2012, but the pro-life former senator fell short when going up against former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.

Now, in a new interview with the Weekly Standard, the strong pro-life advocate says he is open to potentially seeking the nomination in 2016. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/26/rick-santorum-open-to-running-for-president-again-in-2016/

Sandra Fluke Nominated for Time s Person of the Year
She became the face for the pro-abortion movement during the 2012 elections and the laughingstock of pro-lifers for her relentless push to force Americans to pay for her birth control. College student Sandra Fluke has been nominated as a potential Person of the Year by Time Magazine.

Fluke is apparently unable to figure out how to purchase low-cost birth control from places like Target, Wal-Mart or her local pharmacy. Still, Time magazine felt she was qualified enough to include her with legitimate newsmakers and leaders who are significantly more deserving of the award and recognition. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/26/sandra-fluke-nominated-for-times-person-of-the-year/

House Republican Leader: Cut Obamacare, IPAB to Avert Fiscal Cliff
House Republican Leader Eric Cantor put some specifics on the table for lawmakers currently embroiled in the debate over what to do avert the coming fiscal cliff. Cantor says that not only should Obamacare be on the table as a potential cut, the Independent Payment Advisory Board should be sent to the scrap heap.

If the President is serious about joining us and fixing the problem he ought to be putting ObamaCare on the table, he said. There is no question in my mind, that is the largest expansion of government programs that we ve seen. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/26/house-republican-leader-cut-obamacare-ipab-to-avert-fiscal-cliff/

Study Shows Abortion Linked to High Breast Cancer Risk
A study in the Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention shows abortion increases the risk of breast cancer for women.

C. Yanhua of the First Peoples Hospital of Kunming in Yunnan province and his colleagues found the abortion-breast cancer association after comparing data from 263 cases of breast cancer and 457 controls without the disease. Their analysis covers the years 2009-2011. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/26/study-shows-abortion-linked-to-high-breast-cancer-risk/

Stillborn at 40 Weeks: Canada Says My Sister Wasn t a Human Being
Having worked with the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform for a year now and being confronted with the issue of abortion on a daily basis, I was fully aware of the gravity of the situation here in Canada. Philosophical Arguments Destroy Pro-Choice Case on Abortion
Science can be a wonderful tool in the pro-life advocate s arsenal. [1] However, science can t dictate morality, it can only inform morality. Science can tell us that something we are harming or killing is human; science can t tell us that it s wrong to kill that human. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/11/26/philosophical-arguments-destroy-pro-choice-case-on-abortion/
