Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Fr. Pavone on Parental Notification: Translate Views into Votes

STATEN ISLAND, Ny., July 23 /Christian Newswire/ -- Responding to a new poll showing that California voters support a parental notification for abortion initiative, Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, stated, "This support for parental notification, which is consistent with attitudes of Americans nationwide, now has to be translated into votes this Fall. At the end of the day on Election Day, it is not opinions that are counted, but actual votes. Priests for Life urges Churches, organizations, and individual citizens to foster registration and get out the vote drives."

The parental notification measure, known as "Sarah's Law," will appear as Proposition 4 on California's November ballot.
