Fr. Frank Pavone’s Special Message on the Eve of the March for Life

January 21, 2010

Friends,

Today it begins.

Priests for Life is assisting the mobilization of hundreds of thousands of people in DC, and many more nationwide, to make their voices heard for the unborn. Thank you for being part of it!

1. This afternoon I will greet pro-life worshippers at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, starting at 4pm with a book signing for my two books, "Pro-life Reflections for Every Day" and "Ending Abortion, Not Just Fighting It."

2. We have distributed some 45,000 signs that proclaim that "Women Do Regret Abortion" and "Men Regret Lost Fatherhood", as part of our Silent No More Awareness Campaign. Men and women who have lost children to abortion will stand on the podium during the rallies both in Washington and in San Francisco, and will walk at the head of both marches. At the conclusion of each march, they will share their testimonies of pain and healing in a public gathering.

3. We will rally Christians from dozens of denominations to unite, in our nation's Capitol building, on the morning of the 22nd. (All are welcome to the Capitol Visitor's Center starting at 8am for the gathering.) I will deliver a special homily, "A Call to the Movement."

4. Building on the enthusiasm generated from the special election in Massachusetts this past week, we will mobilize people nationwide to start working now on the elections of 2010, both the primaries and the general. Join us Monday evening, January 25, from 9 to 10pm Eastern Time for a nationwide conference call, which you can follow by phone or on your computer. Sign up at www.priestsforlife.org/conferencecall.

5. I look forward to seeing many of our Missionaries of the Gospel of Life (MEVs) from around the country as we march for life in DC and San Francisco!

Brothers and sisters, today it begins. Let's continue to join hands as we head further into 2010 and prepare for the launch of our Pro-life Freedom Rides, in which we want you all to take part. It will start with a Prayer Campaign (www.PrayerCampaign.org). We value the power of your prayers, and together, with prayer and action, we will end the slaughter of our children!

Blessings,
Fr. Frank Pavone
