Thousands of Pro-Life Advocates Rally for Religious Freedom
Thousands of pro-life Americans took to nearly 200 local rallies in cities and towns across the country to stand up for religious freedom and against the Obama mandate that requires employers to pay for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions.

The rally in Washington, D.C. was so large organizers had problems getting the entire crowd in one picture.

Kristan Hawkins, the head of Students for Life of America, was one of the pro-life leaders to address the crowd in the nation s capital.

The new mandate, which was released last month, violates our civil liberties and free exercise of religion by forcing every American, every public and private University Student Health Care Plan, and every U.S. Employer, regardless of religion or conscience, to pay for abortion-causing drugs, like Ella, in health insurance plans, she said. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/03/23/thousands-of-pro-life-advocates-rally-for-religious-freedom/

Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rallies Say Tyranny Won t Stand
Today is an important day for the ProLife movement, in over 140 cities across the country, people of faith and conscience peacefully assembled this afternoon to protest the Obama/HHS/Abortion Drug (what ve you want to call it) Mandate.

President Reagan once said, Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

Today is the 2nd anniversary of the passage of Obamacare. This week, Jay and I spent most of Jay Sekulow Live! discussing ObamaCare s new $1 abortion surcharge. It struck us during the conversation that the bureaucratic and legal complexities of ObamaCare were making the issue difficult to understand. So here s how you can understand the controversy in three easy steps.

Step 1: As most people understand, ObamaCare requires every American to purchase insurance. This requirement the individual mandate is the legislation s most notorious feature and will be the subject of intense argument at the Supreme Court next week. Obamacare: Will It Withstand Constitutional Scrutiny?
The U.S. Supreme Court is now poised to review the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare. The nine Justices will hear oral arguments totaling an unprecedented five-and-a-half hours beginning on March 26, 2012 and concluding on March 28.

The usual allocation of time for Supreme Court oral arguments is just 60 minutes 30 minutes for each side and only in exceedingly important cases, like Bush v. Gore, which was to determine the outcome of a presidential election, does the court allow 90 minutes of argument. October Baby: A Great Pro-Life Movie, Not a Sermon
Movies that deal with the sanctity of life are suddenly in the news. One of these, the long anticipated independent film Doonby, is scheduled to open in theaters later this year. And another one, October Baby, opens in theaters today, Friday, March 23.

Both of these films delve deeply and fearlessly into an issue that the entertainment industry has rarely been brave enough to tackle.

But of course, the biggest question is, how do they handle that issue? As I ve said more than once, Christian filmmakers must always remember that a movie needs to be a movie, not a sermon. Refuting the After-Birth Abortion Philosophers
Two bioethicists from Oxford, Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva, have caused a firestorm by publishing an article in the Journal of Medical Ethicsstating that fetuses and newborns do not have the same moral status as actual persons.

I m personally surprised, but happy that this article is getting so much attention. The surprise is because there isn t really anything new in this article. Mitt Romney is Not Soft on Pro-Life, Abortion Issues
Some conservatives remain under the mistaken impression that Mitt Romney is soft on pro-life issues. Romney s primary opponents have tried to perpetuate this myth in order to mislead pro-life voters. However, Romney has been unequivocal on his pro-life stance since his change of heart in 2004.

Sure, scrutiny of candidates is important during a primary. But the incessant questions about Romney s pro-life convictions are bordering on obsessive compulsive at this point. Ronald Reagan never faced this level of skepticism after his conversion. Nor did former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson after she left her job to become a pro-life advocate.
