Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE: DAY 2: Planned Parenthood protests tour
When we decided to plan a 50-state, 125-city bus tour to 40 Days for
Life vigils across the United States, we knew that one group in
particular would not like it -- America's largest abortion provider,
No one has been more critical of 40 Days for Life than Planned
Parenthood ... and once we announced our largest campaign ever -- 367
cities and the bus tour -- they began making plans to protest the
Our team will stop to pray with 40 Days for Life volunteers in
Poughkeepsie and Newburgh, New York tomorrow morning ... and Planned
Parenthood wants its people to show up in pink shirts to support
"Planned Parenthood's mission ... and services."
In addition to performing more than 300,000 abortions every year,
Planned Parenthood is now under investigation for trafficking and
selling baby body parts. They've been defunded by many states across the
country and have lost millions in donations as a result of scandals.
Planned Parenthood's brand is at an all-time low ... and more than 140
of the 367 prayer vigils this 40 Days for Life campaign are taking place
outside of Planned Parenthood centers.
And if you're anywhere near Poughkeepsie or Newburgh tomorrow morning
... come meet the UNITED bus and show Planned Parenthood that people
joined in prayer are more powerful than pink shirts!
What a fabulous start to the 40 Days for Life UNITED bus tour!
The day got off to a wet beginning in Washington -- and ended with a
downpour in Baltimore. But what's a little rain on Day 1 of a 40-day,
coast-to-coast bus journey?
We started with a news conference in front of the US Supreme Court
building ... and headed straight for the newest Planned Parenthood
abortion center in Washington, DC to pray with volunteers.
This business just had its grand opening this week, but there have
already been TWO 40 Days for Life vigils there while the building was
Then it was back on the road for our second Planned Parenthood visit of
the day. This facility in historic Annapolis is on a high-traffic
street, which made for a great visible witness to the community.
A Heartbeat International affiliated pregnancy center sits right across
the road ... and four of that center's staff members came out and
joined us at the vigil.
In the Baltimore suburb of Catonsville, we prayed with and encouraged
40 Days for Life participants ... who then signed the bus so their names
and their prayers could go with us all across the country!
Despite a torrential downpour and flooding streets, nearly 100 people
came out to the Maryland statewide UNITED rally in Baltimore to wrap up
the day ... praying together, hearing inspirational messages, and
standing publicly for life.
It was an amazing first day of this tour! We have 39 more days ... and
18,000+ miles to go. Now it's on to Delaware and New Jersey!
About 60 people arrived for the start of the kickoff rally in Klamath
Falls ... and the crowd kept growing as the event continued ... [more]
Council Bluffs, Iowa
"Wow!" said Catherine, the local campaign coordinator. "The Holy Spirit is surely working in Council Bluffs, Iowa!" ... [more]
those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there
arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their
widows were neglected in the daily distribution.

Father, in the Church's desire to engage our communities with the
gospel, let us gain wisdom from those who have gone before us and
cherish their experiences and perspectives. Help us to appreciate every
soul in the body of Christ and minister properly to everybody.
