A 40 Days for Life vigil participant glanced over at Planned Parenthood
and noticed a security guard standing by the door … which then slowly
opened as a young woman left the building.
"She was shaking and holding her arms around herself," the volunteer
said. "She was trying to talk on the phone but shaking so much that she
looked as though she was going to drop it."
After the vigil participant approached and asked if she needed help, she said, "I want to keep my baby."
She was offered information about the community resources that are
available. "That is what I need," she said. "I need help. I have no
one."
As they turned the corner to talk privately, the young woman told her
story. She is unmarried, she'd lost her job – and her father was
threatening to throw her out of their home.
With the vigil participant's support and encouragement, they went
together to see the Sisters of Life. "Faith and family are her firm
foundation," the volunteer said. "I left her with the sisters – she was
no longer shaking but smiling. Please pray for her! God is good!"
