40 Days For Life: DAY 31: Twins!

It's the most exciting word you can hear during a 40 Days for Life campaign: TWINS! Whatever crisis leads a woman to an abortion facility, news of twins would seem to DOUBLE her motivation to have an abortion. Instead, when many expectant mothers learn they carry not one, but two babies, they are inspired to choose life! That was the case recently in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where an abortion-minded woman told volunteers that, because the ultrasound showed twins, she will not abort.

"Thanks be to God that a woman left the clinic today," wrote Claire, the Cherry Hill campaign leader. And thanks be to God that this mother in New Jersey was not the only one to choose life for her twins this campaign!

Fort Pierce, Florida Vigil participants are already on-site praying by 5:00 a.m. when women begin arriving to their abortion appointments in Fort Pierce. The abortion provider doesn't arrive until 7:00. Fortunately, that left one abortion client enough time to change her mind. "We offered her a gift bag, free ultrasound, and help with her pregnancy--whatever she needs," wrote Laurie, who co-leads the campaign. "She accepted the gift bag and explained that she is expecting TWINS and decided that she could not go through with the abortion." When vigil participants reiterated that support is available to help the young mom raise her babies, she responded, "I know. I am adopted." "Thank God for her courage protecting the lives of her two babies," Laurie said. "Please pray that God will bless her with a healthy delivery in March."

Little Rock, Arkansas Prayer warriors in Little Rock were able to redirect a young couple from the abortion facility to the pregnancy help center next door. "The abortion clinic security guard fussed at them for running off clients," said Toni, the local leader. Hours later, the Little Rock team received confirmation that the couple chose life for not one, but TWO babies!
