40 Days For Life: DAY 35: Persecution

image

Persecution: it's the greatest compliment abortion supporters can pay you.
From heckling to stolen vigil signs to a full-blown, pro-abortion protest, attempts to silence you prove that your prayers are impacting the abortion industry's bottom line.
The abortion facility in Little Rock, Arkansas sold rocks to abortion supporters, who painted anti-40 Days for Life messages on them. The rocks were then placed around the abortion facility property.
One not-so-charming message read, "May the fetus you save become a gay abortion provider."

Fortunately, stunts like this only increase the controversy over abortion, discouraging abortion-vulnerable women from coming.
Sometimes the pro-abortion antics outright backfire.
That was the case in Sarasota, Florida, where the abortion facility played a vulgar radio station over a boombox to discourage vigil participation.
One day, the abortion workers mistakenly used the wrong setting on the radio dial--and were stunned when they came out later and found the vigil participants singing along to the Christian praise and worship radio station!

Passau, Germany

Andreas in Passau spends six hours a day praying at his 40 Days for Life vigil.
And he has company.
Every day, Antifa activists surround him with signs, banners, and umbrellas to make sure abortion-bound women aren't exposed to his prayers.
The pro-abortion circus draws more attention to his outreach than if he were left to pray in silence.

Manhattan, New York

Abortion supporters used white umbrellas to block out pro-life signs...
...but the sign of more than 150 pro-lifers--many of them on their knees--could not be silenced.

Cherry Hill, New Jersey

A Cherry Hill abortion supporter spent more than two hours insulting Bob and Janis while they prayed in front of the abortion facility.
Perhaps the verbal attack was prompted by the vigil's success? The campaign has helped save at least SEVEN babies from abortion this fall.
Later that day, a man left the facility, stopping to say, "Praise God, it didn't go through," suggesting that a life had been saved.

Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sin is covered. Blessed is the one to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.
— Romans 4:7-8
Our Most Gracious Heavenly Father, thank you for your amazing grace that saved a wretch like me. I come against the enemy of my soul who would have me feel cast down and dejected. Lord, keep your children from falling prey to the accusations of the father of lies. Turn our mourning into dancing and may we bring praise to you as we give testimony of Your healing and restoration in our lives.
For life,
