What would make your top five list of things to be thankful for?
By Maria V. Gallagher,
Legislative/PAC Director
Thanksgiving 2020 is challenging for many people across the U.S., with concerns about COVID-19 wreaking havoc with many holiday plans. Some families face separations, others illness. The hardships can seem difficult to bear, especially given the myriad of other crosses we have experienced this year. 43rd Annual Pro-Life Breakfast in Erie
Our 43rd Annual Pro-Life Breakfast has been postponed due to the current COVID restrictions and the increasingly dim prospects for any major relaxation of the restrictions before the original date of January 16. About 600 people usually attend the Pro-Life Breakfast, but the Grand Ballroom at the Bayfront Convention Center, which has been home for the Breakfast for a number of years, is currently restricted to an occupancy of 180 people at most. Also because of COVID, our popular buffet breakfast would have to be replaced with a plated meal with a higher price tag and less to eat.
At this time, April 24 looks likely to be the new target date, but please stay tuned for more information.

Gettysburg Pro-Life Prayer Rally
Adams County Pennsylvanians for Human Life is sponsoring the annual Pro-Life Prayer Rally in front of the Adams County Courthouse, 111 Baltimore Street, Gettysburg, on Friday, January 22, 2021, from Noon to 12:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join us for a time of prayer for, and remembrance of, the more than 62 million innocent babies who have lost their precious lives to abortion in the United States over the past 48 years since the Supreme Court wrongly decided Roe v. Wade. For more information about this event contact chapter president Ruth Santino at ruthsantino@yahoo.com.

Erie March for Life
The 2021 Erie March for Life will take place as originally scheduled, on Saturday, January 23, 2021, just six days before the 48th Annual March for Life in Washington, DC. The March will be held in downtown Erie, once again. Please watch for an announcement about the exact staging location and route. The March will conclude as is customary, with a brief program of speakers.
The City of Erie has a moratorium on special event permits due to COVID. If the moratorium is lifted before January 23, the March will look very much same as it has in recent years. However, without a special events permit, we will be unable to march on the city streets or have full use of the Pavilion in west Perry Square. Instead, we will march on the sidewalks, observing the normal rules for pedestrians. We will also take care to observe all applicable COVID health and safety guidelines.
