Abortion industry trying to draw clients for 'post-abortion care' and ultrasounds in pro-life states
For decades, society has been sold the lie that abortion is safe and that women do not suffer complications from abortion, incomplete procedures, or other potentially serious health risks requiring post-abortion care. But the truth is that for decades the pro-life movement has documented inept abortion providers, ambulances summoned to abortion and Planned Parenthood centers for injured abortion clients, abortion-related deaths, and a host of complications and risks.
Now, since the reversal of Roe v. Wade, the abortion industry is using a new tactic to keep women coming through their doors: offering “post-abortion care” as well as “follow-up care” (like ultrasound screenings) in states that protect preborn children from abortion.
Led by courageously pro-life lawmakers, Pennsylvania Senate not about to pass legislation pushed by the abortion industry and its allies in the state legislature
The pro-life movement in Pennsylvania and throughout the country has been quite clear: abortion harms women. That being the case, National Right to Life and the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation have been vocal about ensuring that women who have undergone the tragedy and trauma of abortion receive the compassionate counseling and support they deserve.
A group of non-doctors might change the definition of brain death. This is cause for concern.
"Death is something that should be a set, finite thing. It shouldn't be something that's left up to interpretation."
The non-profit organization The Uniform Law Commission (ULC) will make a decision next week as to whether it will amend its current definition of brain death.
According to a statement from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), which opposes the proposed change, the revision “would replace the standard of whole brain death with one of partial brain death” in the Uniform Determination of Death Act (UDDA). The current definition in the UDDA states that brain death is the “irreversible cessation of all functions of the entire brain including the brainstem.”

Who Counts? Bioethics, Biomedicine and Exploitation of Nascent Human Beings
What defines our humanity and what it means to be a human being? Put another way, who counts? Every human life has value, no matter the age or stage of development, size, genetic or acquired characteristics or circumstances of the individual. Our intrinsic worth comes from the fact that we are a human being, an organism of the species Homo sapiens. Yet we continue to be drawn to misapply scientific and medical knowledge to divide human beings, denigrate our own humanity and exert power over others.

Debunking pro-abortion claims, CDC's provisional maternal mortality numbers for the post-Dobbs years show a decline in deaths
The baseless narrative that the U.S.'s poor maternal health is attributable to abortion regulations only serves to harm women.
Several weeks ago, we responded to these claims by abortion advocates on social media, refuting them and calling attention to the factors that actually contribute to the maternal mortality crisis in this country. Yet this narrative attempting to connect the 2021 surge in maternal deaths to the Dobbs decision persists.
