It is hard to understand how this election has turned out to be so close given the horrific Obama administration record, but that is the way it is. John-Henry Westen and I just returned from an exhausting, whirlwind week of meetings in Rome. At times, we literally ran from one meeting to another - rain and shine. Several times I had to make a conscious effort to stop and take a slow look around for a couple of minutes to appreciate where I was. The pace of the week left us with several hundred emails to review after we got back. Our apologies to all those who have not yet received a response from us. One of the days in Rome we had over 8 hours of discussions with significant persons. The trip was incredibly well worth the effort. We were fortunate to be hosted by a wonderful American couple who live in Rome just outside the Vatican wall. They give us a homey base, some great meals and lots of useful advice and other help with our work.
