Is killing an unborn child homicide? Drew's Law could change that for Indiana
A bill that would make terminating a pregnancy a crime by impaired driving or reckless behavior was assigned to an Indiana Senate subcommittee for tweaking.
The bill known as "Drew's Law" was heard on Tues in the Senate's Committee on Corrections, criminal and Civil Matters. Drew's Law would add termination of pregnancy to current law that makes it a Class C felony to cause the death of another person by driving while intoxicated by alcohol or controlled substances.
