Panel Behind Obama Mandate Dominated by Pro-Abortion Orgs
A pro-life organization has access public records about the committee that made the recommendation to the Obama administration to adopt its new controversial health care mandate and found the panel was dominated by pro-abortion groups.
The Obama administration is coming under fire for producing a new Obamacare mandate regarding preventative services that forces religious employers to pay for abortion-causing drugs and birth control for their employees. Last week, Obama said his administration would advise the mandate to force insurance companies to provide the abortion-inducing drugs at no cost.

CNN: Americans Oppose Obama HHS Mandate 50-44 Percent
A new poll released today by CNN indicates half of Americans oppose the new mandate pro-abortion President Barack Obama put in place that requires religious employers to pay for birth control or drugs that can cause abortions.
Interviews with 1,026 adult Americans conducted by telephone by ORC International on February 10-13 for CNN asked, As you may know, the Obama administration has announced a new policy concerning health insurance plans provided by employers, including religious organizations, and how they handle birth control and contraceptive services for women. Based on what you have read or heard, do you approve or disapprove of this policy?

Pro-Life Advocates Arrested at White House Protesting Mandate
A group of pro-life advocates were arrested today outside the White House as they protested the new mandate pro-abortion President Barack Obama put in place requiring religious groups and employers to pay for birth control and abortion-inducing drugs.
Jeff White, Jayne and Joanna White, Rev. Pat Mahoney and several other pro-life leaders and advocates were just arrested for kneeling in prayer in front of the White House, pro-life youth leader Bryan Kemper indicated. The group was there as a pro-life witness to President Obama that Christians will not comply with the HHS mandate, which is unconstitutional and blatantly pro-abortion.

Obama Mandate Used to Deflect From Losing Issue of Abortion
I wrote last week about a theory put forth by Washington Post s Sarah Kliff that abortion proponents were shifting strategies to focus on contraceptives rather than abortion, the reason being their own polls show abortion is no longer a winning issue with young people and women, but contraception is.

Conscience Concerns Not All That s Wrong With Obama Mandate
A few days ago, the Obama Administration finally and officially promulgated its preventive services mandate with only a very narrow conscience exception for religious institutions.
However, the lack of an adequate conscience exemption is not all that is wrong with the mandate. The rule as promulgated is seriously flawed it is contrary to the legislative intent of the original preventive services amendment to what became the Affordable Care Act (ACA), it implies that pregnancy is a disease, and it mandates coverage of drugs and devices with life-ending mechanisms of action in nearly every health insurance plan in America.
When Congress passed ACA, the law required that all private and public health insurance plans fully cover, without co-pay, preventive services for women. Not defining it in the statute, Congress delegated to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) the determination of what preventive services for women includes. Senator Barbara Mikulski, who authored the preventive services provision of the ACA, was very clear during the debates on the floor surrounding this amendment that the rule should not include coverage for abortion in any way. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/16/conscience-concerns-not-all-thats-wrong-with-obama-mandate/
Teacher Buys Morning After Pill for Student at Planned Parenthood
Last week we told you about the college in Pennsylvania where student can pop in and buy the morning after pill from a vending machine. But if you re a student in Austin, TX and only in high school, you might have had another option. This story tells about a high school math teacher who went to a Planned Parenthood and bought Plan B for a student not old enough to buy it herself.
The Huffington Post reports: Tracy Lee Steinberg, a 32-year-old assistant basketball coach and math teacher at Lyndon B. Planned Parenthood Launches Twitter Account Targeting Teens
Imagine that after a boring day at school, 14-year-old Jessica wraps up her homework and opens up her laptop. She watches a YouTube video or two, then signs into her Facebook and Twitter accounts to check in with her friends.
On Twitter, she is greeted with messages from a stranger asking what she learned at school today and who she has a crush on. Unaware of the stranger s possible intentions, she tweets back.

Trial Date Set for Abortion Practitioner Charged With Murder
A trial date has been set for abortionist Nicola Riley, who has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a viable baby at an illegal late-term abortion facility in Elkton, Maryland, in 2010.
