Seven States File Lawsuit to Overturn Obama HHS Mandate
Abortion advocates in Virginia have come under heavy criticism for equating the ultrasound legislation there would allow women to see before an abortion to rape. Yet, while abortion backers say having an ultrasound is like getting raped, a 2003 study shows 99% of Planned Parenthood abortion facilities do them beforehand.
Published in the medical journal Contraception in 2003, researchers with the pro-abortion group IPAS, the University of North Carolina, a consortium of Planned Parenthood clinics and the National Abortion Federation surveyed staff at 113 Planned Parenthood affiliates and independent abortion businesses between February and April 2000.
The study specifically concerned the use of the dangerous abortion drug RU 486 (mifepristone) and the survey indicated the drug could be given to women at Planned Parenthood centers and abortion clinics because of vaginal ultrasounds. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/23/seven-states-file-lawsuit-to-overturn-obama-hhs-mandate/
GOP Candidates Bash Obama on Abortion, HHS Mandate at Debate
The Republican presidential candidates went after pro-abortion President Barack Obama during Wednesday night s debate and bashed him for his pro-abortion position and the HHS mandate he put in place that has upset pro-life groups.
CNN host John King asked a question about the mandate that drew boos from the audience because of previous questions in prior debates about contraception that appeared biased.

Planned Parenthood Created Indiana Girl Scouts Sex Ed Program
Yet another link between the Planned Parenthood abortion business and the Girl Scouts has come to light and it is giving pro-life advocates further pause about their involvement in the organization.
Indiana Right to Life has learned the city of Bloomington, Indiana web site in 2009 reported the direct involvement of a Planned Parenthood health and sexuality educator in the development of a Girl Scouts program targeted to girls as young as five years-old.
In its report on the 2009 Woman of the Year and Lifetime Contribution Award, the site notes that Anne Reese was nominated posthumously for the Lifetime Contribution Award. Virginia: Ultrasound Bill Moves Ahead, Personhood Dies
The Virginia state House and a state Senate committee have approved the amended bill to allow women to see an ultrasound of their baby before an abortion.
A state Senate panel in approved an amended version of the pre-abortion ultrasound bill that has drawn national attention as abortion backers have equated ultrasounds with rape.
After Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell called for modifications to the bill to ensure that women are not required to get a transvaginal ultrasound, the state House approved its bill on a 65-32 vote. This morning, the Senate Education and Health Committee vote 8-7 on party lines for House Bill 462, with Sen. Harry B. Blevins, R-Chesapeake casting the deciding vote by proxy. Pro-Lifers Brave 8-Foot Snow to Protest Planned Parenthood
We refer to the current 40 Days for Life events as the spring campaign. But don t tell that to the folks in Alaska! Anchorage has received more than 100 inches of snowfall already this winter. And it isn t over yet.

Catholic Bishops Prez: Our Rights Don t Depend on Obama
USCCB President Timothy Cardinal Dolan has issued a new letter to his fellow Catholic bishops that is one of the strongest condemnations yet of the revised Obama mandate that pro-life advocates have blasted for trampling on religious freedoms.
In the new letter issued Wednesday and co-signed by Bishop William Lori, Dolan condemns the mandate and urges support for the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act, which would overturn the revision of the original mandate that forced religious employers to pay for birth control and drugs that cause abortions. The new mandate puts the onus for paying for them on insurance companies but religious employers may still have to pay and will be required to make referrals for their employees.

Planned Parenthood: Don t Tell Women of Abortion-Suicide Link
Clarke Forsythe and Mailee Smith of Americans United for Life recently penned an op-ed in The Washington Times regarding a hearing that will be taking place in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit on Planned Parenthood v. Rounds, a case disputing a South Dakota statute, which was enacted in 2005, that mandates all women receive information of the medical risks of an abortion.
Planned Parenthood filed suit to prevent the South Dakota statute from becoming law, and one might be curious to know why they would prevent informed consent. Is it wrong for a woman to know the risks that may happen to her body during such a procedure?
