ALBANY, N.Y., May 21, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- A powerful new ad campaign, addressing the heart and soul issue of abortion, has launched in New York's capital city of Albany. Bus shelter posters and a grassroots ground campaign will share the "ABORTION IS NOT A HEALTH ISSUE. IT'S A HEART AND SOUL ISSUE." messaging throughout the summer. The Radiance Foundation, in collaboration with an alliance of community-based organizations in the Albany area, has created the YourHeartAndSoul.org initiative to help prevent abortion and reach out to those who are post-abortive.

"The violence of abortion touches people emotionally, psychologically, physically, and spiritually," says Radiance Foundation co-founder Bethany Bomberger, a mother of both adopted and biological children. "So many women feel all alone and are often never told of the life-affirming options that value them and their child. This campaign lets them know that there is help. And for those who've made the irreversible decision of abortion, there is hope."

New York is the home of Planned Parenthood, the nation's leading abortion chain responsible for over 327,000 abortions every year nationwide. There were 94,326 abortions reported in NY in 2013, with the majority of abortions among women ages 20-24. There are 225 abortion facilities in NY, but these are not places where mother and child are valued and protected. YourHeartAndSoul.org highlights local pregnancy care centers, churches, and other community-based organizations that have committed themselves to caring for those considering abortion or the aftermath of such a decision.

"Men regret abortion, too. There are three precious lives involved here: the mother, the father and the child," says Ryan Bomberger, Chief Creative Officer of The Radiance Foundation. "Some of my colleagues are post-abortive, and their stories of transformation are incredibly powerful. We created this campaign to reach out with love and help people connect with the ultimate source of Hope and Healing-Jesus Christ."

This campaign was made possible by prolife advocates in the Albany area who want to promote a culture of life that values every human life, born and unborn.
