Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

40 Days For Life: DAY 28: "What do I say when ..."

Nottingham, England

The 40 Days for Life vigil in Nottingham takes place outside a hospital where abortions are performed.

"They have really put the issue of abortion on the radar," said Robert Colquhoun, 40 Days for Life's international campaign director, "as many people now know that abortions happen in Nottingham hospital."

This campaign has faced challenges from local authorities and aggressive media reports. Robert said, "they have a great team."

Cleveland, Ohio

John in Cleveland received some great news from two volunteers who travel from Erie, Pennsylvania to join the 40 Days for Life vigil.

As they prayed recently, a car stopped at the sidewalk while exiting the Preterm abortion facility. The young man driving rolled down his window, and one of the volunteers noticed that he and the woman with him were smiling.

The young man accepted a "help is available" pamphlet and with a look of joy and relief exclaimed, "We have changed our minds! We are keeping the baby!"

John's reaction? "Praise God, praise God, praise God!"

Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.

O God, our heavenly Father, give us courage and wisdom as we seek to eradicate the evil in our society.

Help us to realize that your divine Spirit alone can change hearts and minds so that all your human creatures may enjoy the fullness of life you intended for them.
