40
Days for Life Campaign Director Steve Karlen just visited the busiest
late-term abortion facility in Las Vegas for the city's first-ever
spring campaign.
It's
a daunting location, and the facility built an eight-foot fence to
inhibit sidewalk counselors. One of the center's abortionists has a
disturbing record of complications--including a woman who died due to a "
negligent performance of pregnancy termination."
"Las Vegas is known as 'Sin City'," Steve said. "But as Scripture reminds us, where sin abounds--grace abounds all the more."
Indeed, lives are being saved. A pregnancy center next door to the abortion facility recently celebrated its 30,000th baby saved from abortion, and the director told Steve that the campaign "definitely, DEFINITELY" makes a difference.
The
opening kickoff event featured strong turnout spanning Christian
denominations. About a third of the attendees said it was their first
time getting involved in 40 Days for Life!
