Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Pray. Fast. Give – A Special Ash Wednesday Message
""Do not offend the Lord Our God any more, for He is already too much offended!": Our Lady of Fatima
May the Virgin Mary, with her loving Child, bless us!
“The creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God”—Romans 8:19
begins the season of Lent, our journey toward the joy of Easter. We
prepare for this celebration through fasting, prayer, and almsgiving.
In Pope Francis' Lenten message this year, he refers to the words of St.
Paul, and warns that when we fail to live as children of God, our
behavior toward our neighbors becomes destructive and so too our
communion with God. So now, perhaps more than ever, our world relies on compassionate people like you to bring love and hope to our neighbors most in need.
Francis' words inspire us to open our hearts to the vulnerable and
forgotten: "Let us leave behind our selfishness and self-absorption, and
turn to Jesus. Let us stand beside our brothers and sisters in need,
sharing our spiritual and material good with them."
