Planned Parenthood grabs $20 million grant from new government Office of Adolescent Health

Planned Parenthood's push for government funding to take over sex education programs in public schools and community organizations has received a sonic boost with the help of a $20 million grant from the newly created Office of Adolescent Health within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

Six Planned Parenthood affiliates have formed a far-reaching coalition to obtain funding that will target 73 locations in 5 states.

Planned Parenthood affiliates involved in the coalition include Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest (PPGNW), Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI), Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW), Planned Parenthood of Montana (PPM), Planned Parenthood of Southwest Oregon (PPSWO) and Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood (MBPP).

Once again, Planned Parenthood is being given money on top of money to incorporate its immoral philosophy into sex education programs aimed at teens that are at highest risk of pregnancy.  By Planned Parenthood's own admission, it has been providing very similar programs in Western Washington for over 16 years, and yet still has the need to incorporate more of the same, to the tune of millions of taxpayer dollars.

Not only that, Planned Parenthood will "evaluate" its own "successes", so that it can get even more funding.

We've been sounding the alarm here at STOPP about Planned Parenthood's goal of taking over sex education programs in school districts, and we've been calling on parents to be proactive in reaching out to school boards to ban Planned Parenthood before its arrives.

As Planned Parenthood continues to push its way into the lives of our children and teens, we must push back with equal force. Planned Parenthood is focusing a tremendous amount of energy at this time on stopping abstinence-until-marriage education and forcing its perverted sex education into all public schools. If we are to thwart its efforts, it will take even a greater effort on our part.

Combating Planned Parenthood's millions of government dollars may seem an impossible task unless we realize that prayer is the greatest power in the world. If we cloak all of our efforts in prayer and dedicate them to the greater glory and honor of God, we become the ones armed with the greater force - or as Jim Sedlak says, we are the ones with an unfair advantage, because God is on our side.

Please visit our website today, www.stopp.org, and study the sections on defeating local public funding of PP, and keeping PP out of your local schools.  It is essential that parents form a solid wall of resistance to Planned Parenthood in order to stop its fast forward advance into the midst of our families.

PP of the Great Northwest taking over Family Planning of Clallam County, WA

Further evidencing Planned Parenthood's push to corner the market on sex education in the public schools is the announcement by Planned Parenthood of the Greater Northwest that it will take over Family Planning of Clallam County, WA, (FPCC) which has education programs in every school district in the county.

The executive director of FPCC is quoted as saying that the curriculum in the schools will not change, and makes the disingenuous statement that "Planned Parenthood does believe abstinence is the 100-percent way to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections." What she doesn't say is that Planned Parenthood believes abstinence is unrealistic and, therefore, pushes the notion of "safer sex" on our children as a part of its immoral, salacious sex education.

In addition to the school sex ed programs, Planned Parenthood will operate the FPCC facilities in Sequim, Port Angeles and Forks.

Former PPFA president:  Raising children is a necessary task, not an identity

Former PPFA president Gloria Feldt thinks that moms hurt women in general by making the decision to opt out of the work place.  She goes so far as to say that we should view raising children as "a necessary task," and not an identity in an Oct. 4 New York Times interview.

When women internalize raising children as a necessary task rather than the greatest vocation on earth, perhaps it makes it easier to justify killing innocent, preborn babies.  After all, when a child is aborted, following Feldt's line of reasoning, we are just avoiding a "necessary task."

This warped feminism-turned-deadly is at the core of Planned Parenthood's twisted, sinister philosophy and is being pushed on college campuses throughout our nation. When motherhood becomes just a detriment to getting ahead, a necessary task to be accomplished, where does that leave the children?  Perhaps at the mercy of organizations like Planned Parenthood that stand to profit from their sexualization.

STOPP wrongfully listed on documents presented at FBI training seminar

When the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice teamed up to sponsor an Aug. 29 seminar targeting violence against the abortion industry, a document detailing acts of violence against abortion facilities was circulated.  The document was entitled "Resource Guide - Violence Against Reproductive Health Care Providers" and says it was revised in 2010.  It appears that the document was authored by the National Abortion Federation, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and The Feminist Majority Foundation.

The resource guide also contained a "List of Anti Websites" directly under "Arson and Bomb Chronology" in its table of contents, and on that list were the names and web addresses of several American Life League websites, including STOPP, American Life League, The Pill Kills, and former ALL organization Rock for Life, all of which are unequivocally opposed to violence and dedicated to peaceful, prayerful, pro-life activity. It goes so far as to identify by name Judie Brown and Jim Sedlak.

By distributing documents at its training seminar which put peaceful pro-life advocates in the same bag with those who act out in a violent way, the government is assisting these abortion industry moguls in doing harm to peaceful pro-life activists who are merely exercising their constitutional rights.

The document can be accessed here.

American Life League calls on the government to protect the constitutional rights of all citizens to peaceful, prayerful, assembly and the right to speak freely about the injustice of abortion.

Rescuing souls from Planned Parenthood in Houston, Texas

Forty Days for Life reports 138 babies lives saved - that they are aware of - during the first 13 days of the Fall Campaign.  Many of those saves happened at Planned Parenthood facilities.  Thanks be to God for each and every precious baby!

But there is another aspect of prayerful witness at Planned Parenthood facilities that is not as often brought to light - rescuing employees and volunteers from the the grip of Planned Parenthood.  Houston Coalition for Life, an American Life League associate group, relates the following story from Day 13:

Today three of us went to Planned Parenthood to cover a few hours for the Houston 40 Days for Life campaign.   None of us were super excited about going up there, as the facility is a monstrous building of death and there is always chance for interaction with their extremely uncharitable volunteers.

There were two Planned Parenthood volunteers manning the gates - normally their job is to distract those going in and convince them not to take any literature from the pro-lifers.  The volunteers today were younger girls - in their 20s - and they were not overly aggressive.  Mary (not real name) and I decided to focus our prayers on these girls and we said a rosary specifically for their conversion.

About an hour later, one of the girls came out of the building and was standing at the edge of Planned Parenthood's property.  Mary called to her and asked if she could talk with her.  The girl came over to Mary and they began to talk. I was standing about 20 feet away, and Jan (not real name) was farther down the sidewalk.

I started praying for Mary to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to know the exact words to say to this girl.  Meanwhile Jan was praying the scriptural rosary - unaware of Mary's conversation.

Here's how the conversation went:

Mary asked the girl why she was volunteering here.  The girl, whose name was Karen (not real name), replied that it was a way to fill the time.  Mary asked her if she knew that PP was an abortion facility.  Karen looked sad and said that no, she didn't know that. (For those who wonder how someone could not KNOW that Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the country, just listen to Abby Johnson's story http://40daysforlifelj.blogspot.com/p/abbys-story.html  of how she first got involved as a volunteer.   She was told that they offer free health care for poor women, and that their goal is to reduce unplanned pregnancy.   They don't recruit volunteers by saying, "HEY! We're the number one abortion provider in the country!!")

Then Mary gave her a brochure that talks about PP's racist roots and how they target minority populations.  Karen seemed shocked and even more sad.  Mary said that she also looked embarrassed about volunteering.

As they continued to talk, Mary found out that Karen was Catholic and they discussed Mary's pro-life rosary.

After a few more minutes of talking, Mary and Jan prayed with Karen and Jan gave her her rosary to keep.  We waited with Karen until her grandmother arrived to pick her up. She smiled and waved as they drove off.

Our new precious friend Karen, who now knows the truth about Planned Parenthood, told us that she does not want to volunteer there anymore!!

Praise be to God for a clear answer to prayer today!

Please keep Karen in your prayers, that she will stay strong in her convictions and that she will educate her family and friends about the deception of Planned Parenthood!

By the way, Tuesday, October 5, was the first anniversary Abby Johnson's tearful exit from Planned Parenthood after she helped with a sonogram-assisted abortion and witnessed with her own eyes the baby being ripped apart.  Thanks be to God for Abby and all the good she has done in one short year, and for all the other employees and volunteers who have left Planned Parenthood because loving Christians stood outside the door praying for them.
