Obama Still Ignores Planned Parenthood Sex Trafficking Issues
The Obama administration recently posted a new document to the White House web site touting its efforts to combat sex trafficking in the United States. But the document ignores Planned Parenthood the abortion business where undercover investigations earlier this year revealed staff willing to arrange for abortions for sex traffickers.

Tom Perez, the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the US Department of Justice, authored the document, Protecting the Rights of Women and Girls.

Human trafficking the equivalent of modern day slavery is an affront to human dignity, and goes against everything our country stands for. And yet, it occurs in so many communities; workers are exploited for labor behind closed doors, hidden from the public eye. This includes horrific incidents of sex trafficking, where women and girls are forced into prostitution, often after being lured from other countries with promises of legitimate employment and better lives, Perez says.

That description perfectly describes the sting operation that took place at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. In the video, actors inquire about testing for sexually transmitted diseases and contraception and birth control for their female underage sex slaves, who they describe as coming from out of the country. Planned Parenthood officials say they want to help the pair make their whole operation look as legit as possible.

The clinic manager, Amy Woodruff, an LPN who has since been fired, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/09/06/obama-still-ignores-planned-parenthood-sex-trafficking-issues/

Seven States Could Decide Whether Pro-Abortion Obama Loses
One of the top election experts has penned a new column in the Wall St. Journal looking ahead to the 2012 presidential election and he says seven states could determine whether pro-abortion President Barack Obama receives another four years in office.

In 2008, Obama defeated Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who opposed abortion, on a 52.9-45.7 percentage mark in the popular vote and 365-173 when looking at the Electoral College. Thanks to shifts in population from Democratic-leaning states to Republican-leaning states and thanks to the very low marks Obama receives in current polls, University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato says in his column that the 2012 election will be much closer.

Obama won the last presidential election in part because he shifted states that went for pro-life President George W. Bush places like Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, and New Hampshire to his column. Sabato doesn t believe all of those swing states will vote for Obama once again.

The emerging general election contest gives every sign of being highly competitive, unlike 2008, he writes, but adding the disclaimer that Obama could rebound. Of course, things can change: Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton were both in trouble at this point in their first terms, and George H.W. Bush still looked safe. Unexpectedly strong economic growth could make Mr. Obama s re-election path much easier than it currently looks, as could the nomination of a damaged Republican candidate. But a few more weeks like the past couple, and Mr. Obama s re-election trajectory will resemble Jimmy Carter s. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/09/06/seven-states-could-decide-whether-pro-abortion-obama-loses/

Republican Candidate Should Target Obama s Judges, Abortion
When it comes to the 201 presidential election, one conservative legal scholar has some advice for the eventual Republican nominee: Target President Barack Obama on his pro-abortion judges and the Supreme Court.

Edward Whelan, president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center and a National Review writer, wrote an essay for Public Discourse as part of its 2012 Election Symposium. The article has Whelan saying the GOP nominee should welcome the battle over the Supreme Court, determine to fight hard for high-quality justices, frame the argument for why abortion policy should be restored to the democratic processes and commit to select senior legal leaders who fully embrace their goals and priorities.

In light of the power that the modern Supreme Court wields in shaping or misshaping how the Constitution is interpreted, a president s Supreme Court appointments are among his most important and enduring legacies. The president elected in 2012 can reasonably be expected to have the opportunity to fill one or two vacancies on the Court. How the Republican presidential candidates would approach this opportunity therefore provides an important measure of their fitness for office, Whelan says. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/09/06/republican-candidate-should-target-obamas-judges-abortion/

Barack Obama Hits Rock Bottom With Independent Voters: 39%
President Barack Obama has hit rock bottom with independent voters in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll that shows him with the support of just 39 percent of voters who don t identify with either the Republican or Democratic parties.

He s at a career-low 39 percent approval among independents, who typically decide the result of presidential elections.

More than half of Americans now disapprove of Barack Obama s job performance, six in 10 rate his work on the economy and job creation negatively and more than one in three say they ve become worse off financially under his presidency, the poll, conducted by Langer Research Associates, indicates. Thanks to 9 percent unemployment, 77 percent say the country is headed on the wrong track up 17 percent this year and the highest level since the end of the presidency of pro-life President George W. Bush.

Although Obama has tried to blame the nation s economic woes on Bush, the ABC/Post survey shows Americans by a 2-1 margin, 34 percent to 17 percent, now say his administration s efforts have done more to harm rather than help the nation s economy. ABC notes: The number who say his economic program has improved the economy has plummeted by half since January. And 47 percent say it s had no effect. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/09/06/barack-obama-hits-rock-bottom-with-independent-voters-39/

Sperm Donor Fathers More Than 150 Children, Regulations Needed
The New York Times reports that one sperm donor has fathered more than 150 children. The story has prompted concern from experts and activists who believe that regulation of the fertility industry is long overdue:

There is growing concern among parents, donors and medical experts about potential negative consequences of having so many children fathered by the same donors, including the possibility that genes for rare diseases could be spread more widely through the population. Some experts are even calling attention to the increased odds of accidental incest between half sisters and half brothers, who often live close to one another.

Critics say that fertility clinics and sperm banks are earning huge profits by allowing too many children to be conceived with sperm from popular donors, and that families should be given more information on the health of donors and the children conceived with their sperm. They are also calling for legal limits on the number of children conceived using the same donor s sperm and a re-examination of the anonymity that cloaks many donors. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/09/06/sperm-donor-fathers-more-than-150-children-regulations-needed/

Pro-Life Groups Compile Resource Directory for Pregnant Students
With Planned Parenthood pushing abortion on pregnant women and providing little in the way of pregnancy help and support, two pro-life organizations have come together to publish a new National Directory of Campus Resources.

The guide for pregnant and parenting students comes just in time to kick off the latest school year and the new directory, jointly sponsored by Feminists for Life of America and Students for Life of America, will provide links to essential resources, state by state, school by school.

Our goal is to hasten the day when no woman feels forced to choose between her education and career plans and her child says Serrin Foster, the president of Feminists for Life. The inspiration for FFL s new campus directory came from hearing story after story from women who couldn t find the resources they needed. Finding the basics that support life housing, childcare, maternity coverage and financial aid shouldn t be an ordeal, but it is. The result is that pregnant college-aged students resort to abortion or drop out of school and potentially face a lifetime of poverty. Neither is desirable. Women deserve better. Being pregnant, being a birthmother, or having a family shouldn t be a barrier to an education.

Foster says the directory is critical because, According to the Guttmacher Institute, 44% of abortions are performed on college-age women. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/09/06/pro-life-groups-compile-resource-directory-for-pregnant-students/

You ve Been Guttmacher d: Planned Parenthood s Baby
Anytime journalists feel the need to reinforce unexamined Planned Parenthood statements, they pull the Guttmacher card. The Guttmacher Institute, founded by former Planned Parenthood President and former Vice President of the American Eugenics Society, Alan F. Guttmacher, is continually lavished with misleading credentials by mainstream media.

NPR and the Washington Post call it a nonpartisan research group . ABC and CNN refer to Guttmacher s abortion activist staff as researchers . USA Today calls the public policy organization a non-profit group that studies reproductive and sexual health .

Where are all of the easy pejoratives like extreme or anti-choice and partisan ? They re just much easier to affix to groups like mine, The Radiance Foundation, that present the empirical evidence while opposing the destruction that abortion brings.

The Guttmacher Institute was birthed in 1968 as a research arm of Planned Parenthood. In the late 70s, for public relations and credibility issues, both organizations performed a public separation declaring that Guttmacher was no longer affiliated with Planned Parenthood (PPFA) in any way.

But the cord is still attached.

Despite this preposterous claim by Guttmacher s President and CEO, Sharon Camp, this global pro-abortion extension of PPFA has been funded over $2.4 million by Planned Parenthood from 2004-2009. In an interview with CUNY TV (see embedded video below), originally aired on December 15, 2010, Camp claims, for the past 4 or 5 years, Guttmacher has been completely unaffiliated with Planned Parenthood. Yet a quick look at the nation s largest abortion chain s 990 tax filings (click image at right to enlarge), reveals how completely unaffiliated Guttmacher has been. Planned Parenthood, who receives over $360 million annual tax dollars, gave $2,142,076 of our tax dollars to their research arm, Guttmacher. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/09/06/youve-been-guttmacherd-planned-parenthoods-baby/

Giuliani Admits His Abortion Position Prevents GOP Nomination
The 2008 presidential campaign of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani went nowhere in large part because of his pro-abortion position . Now, the former mayor has admitted that his position on social issues keeps him from the nomination.

Pro-Life Concerns About IVF Include Abortion, Exploitation
In vitro fertilization (IVF) isn t a topic that often crops up in pro-life circles, but I think it s important to highlight this as an issue that affects the movement directly and has a profound impact on the way we view the dignity and value of every human life, both in and outside the womb.
