Mitt Romney Wins Florida Republican Primary Election
Mitt Romney easily won the Florida Republican primary Tuesday night, surging closer to the presidential nomination to face pro-abortion President Barack Obama.

Tuesday night s results halted the momentum from rival Newt Gingrich s win in South Carolina last month as exit polling data showed Romney wining or close with Gingrich in all groups women, Hispanics, conservatives, and people old and young.

With more than half of votes counted, omney was leading Mr. Gingrich by 47% to 31%. Former Sen. Rick Santorum was third and Rep. Ron Paul was fourth. Mr. Santorum had 13% of the vote and Mr. Paul 7%, with more than 50% of precincts reporting.

Doing well in Florida is a pretty good indication of your prospects nationally, Mr. Romney said earlier Tuesday while Gingrich vowed to continue, saying, This is a long, long way from being over. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/01/31/mitt-romney-wins-florida-republican-primary-election/

Komen to Stop Grants to Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz
After years of protests and criticism from pro-life advocates, the biggest breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has announced it is halting further grants and donations to the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

Figures from August directly from the Komen for the Cure foundation show 18 affiliates of the breast cancer charity gave a total of more than $569,000 to the Planned Parenthood abortion business in 2010. That was down from the $731,303 Komen officials publicly confirmed in October 2010, when they acknowledged that 20 of the 122 Komen affiliates gave to Planned Parenthood during the 2009 fiscal year.

Now, Komen says it is halting all grants due to the impending investigation in Congress of the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Its new guidelines prevent it from funding any group under congressional investigation.

According to Fox News, Komen spokeswoman Leslie Aun said the cutoff results from the charity s newly adopted criteria barring grants to organizations that are under investigation by local, state or federal authorities. According to Komen, this applies to Planned Parenthood because it s the focus of an inquiry launched by Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., seeking to determine whether public money was improperly spent on abortions. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/01/31/komen-to-stop-grants-to-planned-parenthood-abortion-biz/

Komen Still Doesn t Acknowledge Abortion-Breast Cancer Link
The pro-life movement is applauding yesterday s news indicating the Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity has indefinitely stopped its donations to the Planned Parenthood abortion business. However, the breast cancer group continues to refuse to acknowledge the link between induced abortion and breast cancer.

Karen Malec, the head of the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer, one of the main organizations educating about how abortions raise the risk for women when it comes to contracting breast cancer, tells LifeNews today she applauds the breast cancer group for discontinuing its grants to Planned Parenthood but it disappointed that Komen will still not tell women the truth about the link.

Our group will remain as Komen s critic as long as it continues to work against its own mission to eradicate breast cancer, Malec told LifeNews. Komen s decision is a step in the right direction to protect women s lives. However, I will not donate to Komen while it is still cooperating in the cover-up of the abortion-breast cancer link and downplaying the risk of using oral contraceptives.

Malec says Planned Parenthood is a primary cause of the breast cancer epidemic. It sells cancer-causing abortions and oral contraceptives. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/01/komen-still-doesnt-acknowledge-abortion-breast-cancer-link/

Komen Decision to Yank Planned Parenthood Funds Not Temporary
The pro-life movement was elated by the news yesterday that Komen for the Cure decided to suspend any further grants to the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

Media outlets reported that the decision was based in part on the fact that the abortion giant is currently under investigation by Congress concerning misuse of taxpayer funds, fraud and potentially violating state abortion laws. The Associated Press reported that, Under the criteria, no further grants will be allowed unless the pending House inquiry is resolved in Planned Parenthood s favor.

Austin Ruse, the president of the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (CFAM) tells LifeNews that the AP report is wrong and that the Komen funding is not a temporarily decision based solely on the fact that Planned Parenthood is under investigation at the federal and state level.

He told LifeNews.com that the official Komen statement announcing the decision does not mention that it is conditioned based on the results of the Congressional investigation and that it not a temporary change based on a change in how grants are allocated pointing to the sentence in the Komen statement saying, We also implemented more stringent eligibility and performance criteria to support these strategies. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/01/komen-decision-to-yank-planned-parenthood-funding-is-permanent/

Gingrich Blasts Obama s Anti-Religious Coverage Mandate
In an email distributed by Human Events, a conservative publication, Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich takes the Obama administration to task of its new Obamacare mandate.

The mandate, which has been soundly condemned by pro-life and religious groups, would force religious employers to pay for health insurance coverage that includes drugs that can cause abortions, birth control and contraception even if the employer has a conscience objection to providing such coverage. The Obama administration has given such employers one year to implement the mandate but Catholics groups and two colleges one Catholic and one Protestant have already filed lawsuits against it.

Last week, the Obama administration finalized a radical new rule that uses the health care law to require all health insurance providers to cover abortion-inducing drugs and sterilization as well as contraception, all free of charge, Gingrich writes. The administration based the rule s religious exemption on a provision drafted by the ACLU, applying the rule even to religious organizations such as Catholic schools, hospitals, universities and charities that oppose such things as a matter of religious belief.

He continues: The weak exemption the administration allowed applies only to religious organizations serving primarily people of the same religion. It is so narrow that Timothy Dolan, the Catholic archbishop of New York City and current head of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops wrote in the Wall Street Journal that even Jesus and His disciples would not qualify for the exemption in that case, because they were committed to serve those of other faiths. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/01/gingrich-blasts-obamas-anti-religious-coverage-mandate/

Kate Walsh Loves Abortion So Much, Here s a Blog About Her
There are things you don t know about me, readers. Mysterious, interesting things. Like, for example, the fact that I am not only a very important and highly sought-after writer like Norman Mailer, only slightly prettier but I have also been an actor and comedian for many years. And I have worked in live music for three years. (In case you re wondering if I am surrounded by pro-abortion heathens, the answer is: yes!)

Sometimes, in the course of doing these things, I have found out stuff about famous people that remains unknown to most. Normally I keep my mouth shut about it, because I am a professional and I don t care to get fired or lose friends. But today I have something to share.

Several years ago, some friends of mine wrote, produced, and directed a movie. One of the stars of that movie was Kate Walsh. I m pretty sure this was right around the time Grey s Anatomy kicked off. These friends of mine, who must remain anonymous, told me a little secret about Kate Walsh. Here it is. I hope you re ready: http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/01/kate-walsh-loves-abortion-so-much-heres-a-blog-about-her/

Planned Parenthood: Komen Stopped $ Because Pro-Lifers Hate Women
The Planned Parenthood abortion business is not happy about the headline-making news that the Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity will stop donations to it until a Congressional investigation is resolved.

As LifeNews reported, Komen says it is halting all grants because of public pressure from pro-life groups and due to the impending investigation in Congress of the Planned Parenthood abortion business. The policy makes it so no further Planned Parenthood grants will be given unless the investigation results in Planned Parenthood s favor.

Planned Parenthood, in an email to its supporters, is putting the blame squarely on pro-life groups.

Abortion Enslaves Women and Denies Them True Equal Rights
I recently released a small statement about how abortion is oppressive to women; a couple of people asked me how I can find abortion to be oppressive if it is their free choice, so I decided to expand on my thought. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/01/31/abortion-enslaves-women-and-denies-them-true-equal-rights/
