GERMANTOWN, MD -- A Memorial, Prayer Vigil, and in-depth Press Conference will be held Monday in Germantown, MD, to mourn the death of the 29-year old killed woman by Leroy Carhart on Thursday. The event will begin at 9am Monday morning, February 11, and will be held in an open area adjacent to Germantown Reproductive Health Services (GHRS), the office where Carhart performs late-term abortions.
Operation Rescue is urging everyone in the area to participate in this important event.

Organizations, Church leaders, and citizens will gather together to mourn the death of a young woman who died from complications of a 3rd trimester abortion conducted by LeRoy Carhart. The young woman was taken to the Emergency Room at Shady Grove Adventist hospital Thursday morning when she became short of breath and experienced intense pain, where she eventually died due to massive blood loss and hemorrhagic shock. The young woman attempted to contact Carhart first, but he had already left town and was unreachable for follow-up care.
Representatives of Priests for Life, Alliance Defending Freedom, 40 Days for Life, the Family Research Council, Students for Life, Operation Rescue, Rock for Life, the Christian Defense Coalition, the National Black Pro-Life Union, the Maryland Family Alliance, the Archdiocese of Washington DC, several local churches and pastors, and many others will join the Maryland Coalition for Life on Monday.
