Letter Shows Michelle Obama Backing Partial-Birth Abortion
First Lady Michelle Obama has come under criticism before for a fundraising letter she wrote for her husband during his 2004 campaign for the U.S. Senate that has her defending partial-birth abortions.
Today, LifeNews is posting a rarely-seen image (right, click here to enlarge) showing the copy of the actual letter, written to Obama financial supporters, which opposes a ban on the gruesome abortion procedure. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/10/23/letter-shows-michelle-obama-backing-partial-birth-abortion/
Baby Number Seven Billion Not an Overpopulation Concern
Sometime late this year a baby will emerge from the womb of its mother, draw its first breath, and announce its arrival into the world with a tiny cry. Thus will Baby Seven Billion be born.
Everyone agrees that Baby Seven Billion s birthday the day that our planet becomes home to seven billion human beings marks an important milestone. But is it a milestone on humanity s upward path that we should celebrate, or a warning sign of impending catastrophe? http://www.lifenews.com/2011/02/23/baby-number-seven-billion-not-an-overpopulation-concern/
George Tiller Did Illegal Late-Term Abortions for Years
An Initial Order released by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts on February 21, 2012, revoking the medical license abortionist Ann Kristin Neuhaus states facts that show late-term abortionist George Tiller was doing illegal late-term abortions for at least seven years.
If the evidence presented in Neuhaus case had been presented during Tiller s criminal trial, there is no doubt that he would have been convicted of illegal late-term abortions, said Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation. This shows that Tiller was doing illegal abortions based on phony mental health excuses for at least seven years. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/23/george-tiller-did-illegal-late-term-abortions-for-years/
Today in 2011: New Planned Parenthood Report: Record Abortions Done in 2009
A new report the Planned Parenthood national abortion business recently released shows the embattled agency did more abortions in 2009 than it has done in any prior year. The report also shows it providing fewer pregnant women with non-abortion services.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America recently posted on its website what it calls its service numbers for 2009. This document, dated February 2011, shows Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide did 332,278 surgical abortions or abortions using the dangerous RU 486 abortion during in 2009. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/02/23/new-planned-parenthood-report-record-abortions-done-in-2009/
Planned Parenthood: Don t Tell Women of Abortion-Suicide Link
Clarke Forsythe and Mailee Smith of Americans United for Life recently penned an op-ed in The Washington Times regarding a hearing that will be taking place in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit on Planned Parenthood v. Rounds, a case disputing a South Dakota statute, which was enacted in 2005, that mandates all women receive information of the medical risks of an abortion.
Planned Parenthood filed suit to prevent the South Dakota statute from becoming law, and one might be curious to know why they would prevent informed consent. Is it wrong for a woman to know the risks that may happen to her body during such a procedure? http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/23/planned-parenthood-dont-tell-women-of-abortion-suicide-link/
The Philosophical Argument Defending the Pro-Life View
Have you ever wondered whether pro-life people who believe in the death penalty but oppose abortion are inconsistent; if outlawing abortion will lead to pregnancy policing ; or why pro-life people are so insistent that a fertilized egg is a person? Have you ever philosophically thought out your own position on abortion whether you re pro-life or pro-choice?
If you are out there reading this article and you truly believe you are pro-choice, I have a challenge for you, should you choose to accept it. Accepting this challenge is, of course, a matter of choice. But if you think that abortion is sad or tragic; if you find yourself saying that it should be safe, legal, and rare ; if you wish that abortion didn t exist, but still view it as a woman s choice, please take this challenge. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/23/the-philosophical-argument-defending-the-pro-life-view/
Catholic Bishops Prez: Our Rights Don t Depend on Obama
USCCB President Timothy Cardinal Dolan has issued a new letter to his fellow Catholic bishops that is one of the strongest condemnations yet of the revised Obama mandate that pro-life advocates have blasted for trampling on religious freedoms.
In the new letter issued Wednesday and co-signed by Bishop William Lori, Dolan condemns the mandate and urges support for the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act, which would overturn the revision of the original mandate that forced religious employers to pay for birth control and drugs that cause abortions. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/02/23/catholic-bishops-prez-our-rights-dont-depend-on-obama/
Today in 2010: Video Shows Tenth Planned Parenthood Abortion Center Hiding Sexual Abuse
New undercover video footage shows the tenth Planned Parenthood abortion center across the nation engaged in covering up a potential case of sexual abuse of a minor. The video shows staff at a Wisconsin facility counseling a purportedly 14-year-old girl to not divulge how a 31-year-old man impregnated her. http://www.lifenews.com/2010/02/23/state-4837/
