The Association of Catholic Priests (ACP) in Ireland has hit out at
the lack of financial and legal support for priests falsely accused of
child abuse. The ACP was aware of at least a dozen priests in Ireland
against whom false allegations had been made. Father Tony Flannery said
there were now sufficient numbers of false allegations to cause concern.
The ACP spokesman said, “Most priests don’t have the financial
resources needed to defend themselves and in a great many cases, the
Church authorities are not willing to supply them with the money.”

Here at Opus Bono Sacerdotii we helps priests with legal representation
and many other services. Out of the 8,000 or more priests who have
contacted us in the past eleven years, 5,000 of which are related to
accusations of abuse, I can confidently say that well over a thousand of
them are blatantly false. Sadly, most of these falsely accused priests
are still out of public ministry.
Will you consider donating at

so that we can help care for accused priests who have no where else to turn for aid?
Your help is urgently needed at this time.
