Justice for Brady
Friends,
Today, marks the commemoration of Brady Surovik's tragic death.
As some of you may know, Heather Surovik
was eight months pregnant with her son Brady when a drunk driver slammed
into her car, harming both Heather, her mother, and killing baby Brady.
Since Colorado law doesn’t recognize Brady as a person, there was no
prosecution for his murder.
The heartbreaking story of Brady Surovik has
captured the hearts and minds of tens of thousands of people in
Colorado, and across the nation, there is call to action against this severe injustice that is enabled by the lack of protections for the unborn.

To honor Brady's life, Personhood USA
has partnered with Heather to initiate the Brady Amendment to recognize
in Colorado’s laws that the unborn deserve legal protection. We are
collecting 86,000 valid signatures to get the Brady Amendment on the
election ballot in 2014.
With the "Violence Against Pregnant Women
Act," now in effect in Colorado, a deceptive law that offers minimal
penalties for perpetrators of crimes against pregnant women, we know that the Brady Amendment is the best weapon in protecting pregnant victims of violent crimes.
We will not rest until we see justice delivered for
Brady, but also for the thousands of unborn babies that cannot speak for
themselves. It is our responsibility to prevent another tragic story
like Brady's and guarantee that the personhood of every unborn child is
recognized at the moment of conception.
To honor Brady's life today, will you share his story
with your friends, family and everyone that you know? Your involvement
will make a tremendous difference in ensuring that his life is not
forgotten, but remembered in order to bring protection to unborn babies
just like himself.
For Life,
Jennifer Mason
