Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Unique Mother's Day Gift: "Save a Girl" in China
This Mother’s Day, honor your mother by helping us save girls in China – girls like little Bao-Jun!
Look at this sweet and innocent face! This is “Bao-Jun” (we have not used her real name, to protect her identity), one month old. With help from our “Save a Girl” Campaign, she will grow up to know just how bravely her mother fought for her.
Bao-Jun is a second daughter. Too many second daughters are unwanted in China, because of son preference. Couples will let the first daughter live, but will abort or abandon their second daughter, often under pressure from the husband’s parents. For this reason, there are about 37 million more men living in China than women – and this gender imbalance is driving human trafficking and sexual slavery, within China and from the surrounding countries.
When Bao-Jun’s mother gave birth to her older sister, Bao-Jun’s paternal grandmother was extremely disappointed. The nicest thing she said to Bao-Jun’s mother was, “Don’t worry. You are still young. If you can give birth to a daughter, you can give birth to a son.”
Then, when Bao-Jun’s mother became pregnant with Bao-Jun, the grandmother pressured Bao-Jun’s mother to go with her to the hospital to learn the gender of her baby. Bao-Jun’s mother knew that, if the baby was a girl, the grandmother would pressure her to abort this second daughter, so she refused to go with her to the hospital.
When Bao-Jun was born a beautiful baby girl, her grandmother was extremely upset. She pressured Bao-Jun’s mother to “give her away.” Too often, to “give her away” means to leave a baby girl in a field to die.
Luckily, a Women’s Rights Without Frontiers’ (WRWF) undercover fieldworker discovered Bao-Jun’s mother. Our fieldworker told her that we are helping mothers keep their daughters – especially second daughters -- because girls are just as good as boys. This is a powerful message in the Chinese countryside, one that most people have never heard. Our fieldworker offered Bao-Jun’s mother a monthly stipend for a year to empower her to keep her daughter. With the help of this stipend, Bao-Jun’s mother is raising Bao-Jun. Our “Save a Girl” program may have saved Bao-Jun’s life. Bao-Jun’s mother told the grandmother that people from the other side of the world plan to help Bao-Jun, so her own family member should love her more.
This Mother’s Day, will you honor your mother by helping save baby girls in China?
What better way of expressing gratitude for the mother in your life than by rescuing a woman and a girl in China?
Step 1: Donate $25 or more – the amount of money it takes to help support a girl saved in China for one month
Step 2: Indicate in the notes section of your donation the mother you wish to honor, and her email address. We will send her an email to let her know you have given a donation in her honor to our “Save a Girl” Campaign.
Will you help us save women and girls in China? Become a “GirlSaver!”
Won’t you help us save more girls like Bao-Jun? So far, we have saved hundreds of girls, and yet there are millions more who are being aborted or abandoned just because they are girls. Each one of these girls is infinitely precious. Please help us save them by donating to our “Save a Girl” Campaign.
For $25 per month, or $300 per year, our GirlSavers have helped WRWF save at-risk babies in China, babies like Bao-Jun, who may not be alive if our undercover fieldworker had not met her mother and assured her that little girls are as special as boys. We put our money where our mouth is, offering practical assistance to empower these mothers to keep their daughters.
YES, I WANT TO HELP END GENDERCIDE AND FORCED ABORTION IN CHINA!
Your donation enables Women’s Rights Without Frontiers to continue to be a voice for the voiceless women and children of China. This huge effort comes at a cost. We need your support. Please give as generously as you can. Every donation makes a difference!
