A Mexican Supreme Court justice questions scientists about the human character of the most weak and dependent
Are paralytics who are unable to feed themselves, autistic people, those with amputated feet and arms human? These were among some of the 40 questions posed by Salvador Aguirre, a justice of Mexico's Supreme Court, to five renowned scientists and researchers. Justice Aguirre was assigned to develop the legal opinion, which will determine if the recent reform to the Penal Code of Mexico's Federal District, which legalized unrestricted abortion through the twelfth week of pregnancy, is constitutional or not.
