California Planned Parenthood leads attack on Alaskan parental notification measure:

"A David vs. Goliath battle"



Just as they did in three previous California campaigns, Planned Parenthood is pouring money into Alaska in an attempt to defeat a parental notification ballot measure on which Alaskans will vote on Tuesday, Aug. 24. 

Alaskans for Parental Rights, sponsors of the initiative, called Measure 2, say they are short of funds needed to fight back against abortion giant Planned Parenthood, which has invaded Alaska with their California-style campaign against a parents' right to be notified before an abortion can be performed on a minor daughter. With just a week left before the election, backers of Measure 2 say it is critical that supporters of parental rights contribute to the campaign. 

California Planned Parenthood is sending major funding, with $25,000 from their Los Angeles affiliate and $20,000 from their Orange affiliate already reported by July 24. More is expected. Rhiannon Good of Planned Parenthood of San Diego and Riverside Counties, who campaigned against the parental notification propositions in California, is the Alaskan campaign manager against Measure 2.
