Join HLI in Rome for the World Prayer Congress for Life! In his encyclical Evangelium Vitae, Pope John Paul II writes: Filled with this certainty, and moved by profound concern for the destiny of every man and woman, I repeat what I said to those families who carry out their challenging mission amid so many difficulties: a great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world. We constantly pray for our missionaries worldwide and for those who are under assault from the culture of death. In Rome this October 5 - 10, 2010. HLI is hosting its 5th World Prayer Congress for Life, and we will be joined by several distinguished cardinals and bishops:
These and other bishops and priests will join myself, our own Monsignor Ignacio Barreiro, and a stellar list of HLI's international pro-life warriors and collaborators from around the world. Click here to see the full program. Events of this caliber are rare, indeed, but these troubled times call for an adequate response: one that focuses the faithful on the only power that can truly unite and rally the forces of life against the foe - faithful and constant prayer. Will you join us? The sooner you register and make arrangements, the more reasonable the travel costs will be, so be sure to act soon. Please also consider forwarding this invitation to priests and any pro-life champions whom you feel may benefit from the Congress. Please also continue to pray for the strength and guidance of the leaders of our Church, for HLI's worldwide pro-life missionaries, and for all who are trying to build a culture of life. Sincerely, Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer President, Human Life International |

In this new video, HLI's Raymond DeSouza makes the case for a needed correction in how the media portrays pro-life and pro-abortion activists, especially when crimes are perpetrated by one side or other. The simple truth is that abortionists have a truly terrifying track record of violence, and the pro-life movement is one of the most peaceful and non-violent sustained human rights movements in history.
