Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz Fires Staffer in Sex Trafficking Video
The Planned Parenthood abortion clinic staffer who appears in a new undercover investigation video assisting two people who claim to be heading up a sex trafficking ring has been fired.

Late Tuesday night, Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey released a statement saying the staff person, Perth Amboy center clinic manager Amy Woodruff, would be let go.

"We were profoundly shocked when we viewed the videotape released this morning, which depicted an employee of one of our health centers behaving in a repugnant manner that is inconsistent with our standards of care and is completely unacceptable," Phyllis Kinsler, executive director of the local affiliate, said a statement, according to NJ.com.

"We have a zero tolerance policy for this kind of behavior, and the employee in the video was immediately suspended from her duties this morning and was terminated this evening," Kinsler said. "We are fully committed to delivering high-quality reproductive health care to the women of our communities, complying with all laws, and upholding the highest ethical standards."

Planned Parenthood officials were reportedly unaware of what Woodruff told the couple involved in the undercover investigation. Full story at LifeNews.com

Senate Votes Against Repealing Pro-Abortion Obamacare
The Senate voted along party lines against a motion by Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell to repeal the Obamacare law that allowed for a government takeover of the health care system and prompted abortion funding and rationing concerns.
Senators voted 51-47 against the McConnell Rule 14 motion, a rule typically reserved for party leaders that allows them to bypass committee action on legislation and place the bill directly before the Senate. In this case, the vote came on the House-approved legislation that would repeal the Obamacare bill.

All 47 Republican Senators voted to fully repeal Obamacare while none of the Democrats — including "pro-life" Sens. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and Joe Manchin of West Virginia — voted to repeal the bill allowing abortion funding. Had the Senate approved the measure, pro-abortion President Barack Obama would have certainly vetoed it.

The vote came during the same week in which a federal judge ruled the law unconstitutional because of the individual mandate, which compels Americans to purchase health insurance — that could pay for abortions with taxpayer funds or through premiums.

"Senate Republicans promised the American people we would vote to repeal, and we have done that. But this fight isn't over," he said. Full story at LifeNews.com

Planned Parenthood Referred Sex Traffickers to Shoddy Abortion Center
During the discussion captured on video of a Planned Parenthood staffer helping alleged sex traffickers obtain abortions for young women, the staffer referred them to another abortion facility to better conceal the abortions. However, the abortion center in question has a shoddy history and once put a woman in a coma after a botched abortion.

In the video that has captured national attention, the pair visit Planned Parenthood Central New Jersey's abortion center in Perth Amboy and clinic manager Amy Woodruff, an LPN who has since been fired, warns the pimp and his prostitute to have their trafficked underage girls lie about their age to avoid mandatory reporting laws.

"Even if they lie, just say, 'Oh he's the same age as me, 15,'…it's just that mainly 14 and under we have to, doesn't matter if their partner's the same age, younger, whatever, 14 and under we have to report," Woodruff says. "Like on the paperwork there's going to be a point that asks, uh, like are you sexually active, stuff like that … if they're under a certain age… – you know, me and my other counselor, like for the most part we want as little information as possible – cause we don't want to be involved…"

Woodruff also coaches the alleged sex traffickers on where to get an abortion that won't be met with as much scrutiny, referring them to the New Jersey-based abortion business named Metropolitan Medical Associates, where she says "their protocols aren't as strict as ours and they don't get audited the same way that we do." Full story at LifeNews.com

Louisiana Senator: Gov Should Probe Abortion Ctr With Gosnell Ties
Louisiana Senator David Vitter has sent a letter to Governor Bobby Jindal and Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Secretary Bruce Greenstein urging an investigation and appropriate action against the abortion facility that has connections with Kermit Gosnell.

Gosnell is the Philadelphia-based abortion practitioner who was charged with one count of murder in the death of a woman from a botched abortion and seven counts of murder related to infanticides that took place at his grisly abortion business that had numerous health and safety violations.

He is connected with the Delta Clinic in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and another abortion center in Delaware — where he does abortions one day a week.

"Recent news reports connecting the Delta Clinic to the allegations being charged against this horrific abortionist in Philadelphia could justify shutting down the Delta Clinic, and we must take the appropriate steps to prevent endangering the lives of Louisiana women and children," Vitter told LifeNews.com in a statement.Full story at LifeNews.com

Mitch Daniels Promotes Abortion Truce Again in New Interview
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels has promoted a "truce" on abortion and social issues again in a new interview that will surely cause him problems with pro-life voters should he decide to seek the Republican nomination for president. Though Daniels is pro-life and has a pro-life record as governor, last summer he said there should be a "truce" on social issues including abortion and his comments immediately sparked a backlash among pro-life groups and other potential presidential candidates like Mike Huckabee and Tim Pawlenty.

Daniels went as far as saying he would didn't know if he would reinstate the Mexico City Policy that prevents taxpayer funding of groups that promote and perform abortions overseas, but he later walked back that comment. He eventually appeared to try to restate the truce – by claiming it applied only to liberals who want to move social issues in a leftward direction. But, now, in a new interview with conservative radio talk show host Laura Ingraham, Daniels is back to the truce theme and he appeared to direct his comments to both liberals and pro-life advocates. Full story atLifeNews.com

Mike Pence: Video Another Reason to De-Fund Planned Parenthood
Congressman Mike Pence, the sponsor of legislation that would revoke the taxpayer funding Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses receive under the family planning program, says the new expose' video is another reason to cut funding.

The video, released Tuesday, is an expose' of the Planned Parenthood abortion business conducted by two undercover investigators who pose as operators of a sex trafficking ring. In the video, a Planned Parenthood staffer helps the sex trafficking perpetrators secure abortions for underage women.

The video shows how the sex traffickers are shown how to get the young, illegally-imported girls back on the street to further the sex trade shortly after their abortions and how the sex trafficking actors are directed by Planned Parenthood officials to another, more shady, abortion center that will give them less grief about the abortions on the young women.

Pence said the video showing "potential criminal activity at a Planned Parenthood clinic in New Jersey" is another reason for his legislation. Full story at LifeNews.com

Webcast to Focus Attention on Abortion-Sex trafficking Video
Leading pro-abortion groups are attacking a new bill that would ban federal taxpayer funding of abortions with an attack on the bill claiming it would change national policy when it comes to victims of statutory rape. Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL, says the bill is "basically putting more restrictions on what was defined historically as rape." However, it turns out the claims are false and no substantive change in federal policy is forthcoming.

The attack concerns HR 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, that rolls several federal rules that have to be passed annually to prevent taxpayer funding of abortions in various governmental departments and programs into one permanent federal law. It would also remove any concerns from the Obamacare law that it could somehow be used to finance abortions with federal funds. Full story at LifeNewscom

Planned Parenthood Won't Debate Lila Rose on Sex Trafficking Video
Representatives of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America refused today to debate Live Action president Lila Rose over the videotape her organization released showing PPFA's affiliated in central New Jersey aiding alleged sex traffickers. The video has caused such national controversy that CNN attempted to put together a segment this afternoon featuring Rose and a Planned Parenthood official, but David Schmidt, research director for Live Action, says Planned Parenthood backed out. Full story at LifeNews.com

Manchin Vote Against Obamacare Repeal Makes Pro-Life Democrats Extinct
Sadly, the U.S. Senate lost its last-standing pro-life Democrat today when Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia betrayed his long-held pro-life convictions to vote against the repeal of the pro-abortion Obama healthcare law.

Manchin will join the company of Democrats like Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska, stalwart supporters of the right to life throughout much of their careers who also recently bowed to party pressure and sold out the pro-life advocates who put them in office. (Incidentally, the group Democrats for Life of America opposed repeal while every other pro-life group favored it). Full story at LifeNews.com

NPR Bungles Planned Parenthood Sex-Trafficking Video Report
The pro-life group Live Action has posted an expose that should be deeply embarrassing to Planned Parenthood. In a visit taped on January 11, an office manager at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Perth Amboy, New Jersey greets a man and woman posing as a pimp and a prostitute by carefully explaining they want "as little information as possible" as they offer their contraceptive and abortion services, even as this pimp described bringing in underage girls as illegal aliens to be his sex workers. At NPR's blog The Two-Way, reporter Eyder Peralta picked this up and promptly mangled the facts. Full story at LifeNews.com

National Pro-Life Chalk Day to Spark Student Activism
Two pro-life groups that cater to college students and young adults will co-host the first National Pro-Life Chalk Day tomorrow, with the goal to place pro-life messages that can easily wash off on college and high school campuses.
Chalking is a historic method of student activism on key political issues and Rock for Life and Students for Life of America provided a jumpstart to the national event by giving out 10,000 pieces of chalk at the National Pro-Life Youth Rally that took place following the March for Life. Full story at LifeNews.com

Ohio Pro-Life Legislators Introduce Three Abortion Bills
Legislators in Ohio have introduced three new pro-life bills aiming to continue lowering the number of abortions in the state and protecting women and unborn children. Today, pro-life legislator in both chambers put forward bills that will ban late term abortions, exclude Ohio from abortion coverage in the new federal health care law and strengthen parental consent rights in Ohio. Full story at LifeNews.com

School Cloning Project Raises Important Moral Questions
Cloning, inserting human brain cells into monkeys, or creating pigs with human blood may all seem like science fiction, yet these very experiments are being done in laboratories. Science fiction is becoming reality. Problematically, scientists are entering new frontiers of biological research faster than governments or theologians can decipher the ethical ramifications. Full story at LifeNews.com

Ohio Pro-Life Advocates Press on Pharmacy Board Appointments
Pro-life groups in Ohio are pressing Governor John Kasich to appoint two new members to the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy who will appreciate the conscience rights of pharmacists who don't want to dispense certain drugs that could cause an abortion. Full story at LifeNews.com
