Planned Parenthood Manipulates Speier and Moore -- A Shame and Outrageous Disgrace Say NBPC Leaders
ATLANTA, Feb. 22, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- "I have deep sympathy for and know women who have suffered from the cervical ectopic pregnancy that Congresswomen Speier spoke of when debating taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood," said Dr. Alveda King, Pastoral Associate with Priests for Life and Founder of King for America. "What is even more tragic is when we don't let nature take its course, and the baby is brutally and violently ripped from the mother's body, in a very invasive and generally unnecessary abortion procedure. Not only is the baby deprived of its life, but the mother and family are deprived of the opportunity to bond and grieve the loss of the baby."
"There is no dignity in abortion, for the woman or the baby. Abortion is a very cold clinical procedure, always," said the Silent No More Awareness spokesperson who supports the recent PPH expose by Lila Rose at Live Action and Glenn Beck. "Planned Parenthood is capitalizing on Congresswoman Speier's story in an effort to garner support for continued abortion funding. I just pray that this latest intimidation tactic doesn't silence the voice of compassion from our prolife leaders in Congress, men and women alike." she concluded. Added to the Speier's controversy, is the jumping on the 'keep giving Planned Parenthood taxpayer money' bandwagon by Congresswoman Gwen Moore. "Congresswoman Moore is a poster child for the truth that financial circumstances are temporary and can be changed overnight. Her ability to stand in the august chambers of the United States Congress demonstrates that abortion is not the answer to a temporary economic situation. I am outraged that she wants to continue to fund Planned Parenthood, the world's largest abortion provider, so that they can keep killing black babies," said Catherine Davis of Network of Politically Active Christians. Day Gardner, Founder of the National Black Prolife Union added: "So, what you are implying is--it's better to fund an organization whose core business value includes the killing off of our children by abortion rather than allowing the children to 'suffer' through the enjoyment of eating Ramen noodles? Such sentiments are shameful, and a disgrace." King, Davis and Gardner are part of National Black ProLife Coalition, a group of African American leaders who recently commended prolife members of Congress for voting for the Pence Amendment which is a stop gap for abortion in our nation.
