Personhood Tour Kicks Off in Mississippi JACKSON, Miss., March 21, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Mississippi's largest prolife group, Pro-Life Mississippi, launches a ten-day Personhood tour on Tuesday, March 22nd. Joining them is the national prolife ministry Missionaries to the Preborn, headquartered in Milwaukie, Wisconsin. The Tour will promote the humanity, personhood, and God-given right to life of preborn children nationwide, and during the next ten days their message will be focused on Mississippi.. Over 50 people are touring together and plan to distribute tens of thousands of prolife pieces of literature. "Mississippians love and welcome children," commented Personhood volunteer Cal Zastrow. "We are hoping to be the first state to protect every born and preborn child by love and by law. With educational efforts and hopefully the passing of the Personhood Amendment (#26) on the ballot this November, together we can make the fatal violence against babies unthinkable, unavailable, and illegal." The Tour begins Tuesday, March 22nd at 7:30am at the intersection of Goodman Road and Getwell in Southaven/Olive Branch Mississippi, and will continue with statewide visits ranging from Jackson to Tupelo. The full schedule is available at the Missionaries to the Preborn website and volunteers are welcome and encouraged to come out, or if unable to join, to pray for the Missionaries and for Amendment 26. "When we stand together as prolife Christians and proclaim the truth, babies' lives are saved and hearts and minds are changed," added Zastrow. "It is time to end baby murder in the State of Mississippi." For interviews, please contact Cal Zastrow at 601-454-4819, or Pro-life Mississippi at plm@prolifemississippi.org.
Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.
