I have taken the liberty today, the first day following a glorious three-day holiday weekend, to bring the saddest of news to the readers of this website. In California, the laws of nature and common sense have been denied. Now, for the first time in my memory, 12-year-old children are going to be treated by the law in sexual matters as though they were consenting adults. Parental rights are gone, finished, caput! Hard to believe? Read on for more on this important subject.

Abortionists ordered to follow disputed 'informed consent' law

Advocates for life captured a huge victory today in the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals where judges ruled the state of South Dakota can require abortionists to provide specific warnings to patients about just exactly what an abortion is and does.  The much-fought case previously has been to the 8th Circuit for arguments over a preliminary injunction, and the ruling today affirmed part and overturned part of the district court's decision that eventually resulted.

Obama Threatens Catholic Health Care Worldwide, Says Us Congressman

The future of faith-based health care in the developing world is being threatened by the global pro-abortion lobby, led by the U.S. administration of President Barack Obama, a U.S. Catholic politician has warned.  "Make no mistake about it; they are going for the jugular. No country, save the Vatican, is immune," said Congressman Chris Smith (R-N.J.) to a global conference of Catholic health care professionals in Rome Sept. 2.  The New Jersey congressman said that pro-abortion forces are willing to kill off faith-based health care in the developing world - despite the fact that such bodies provide up to 70 percent of all health provision in places such as Africa. 
Mother With Conjoined Twins Refuses Abortion Suggestion

An Illinois woman carrying conjoined twins declines an abortion and says their fate is in God's hands.  Amanda Schulten of Marengo,Illinois,  a small town near the Wisconsin line, is a devout Catholic and refused to end her pregnancy. She has named the unborn girls Faith and Hope and is tracking her pregnancy in a blog, amanda-faithhopelove.blogspot.com. On the main page is the poignant poem she penned, "I Love You."
