Probe: Obama Admin Broke Law to Push Abortion in Kenya
An investigation by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), into the Obama Administration s use of $18 million in taxpayer funds to provide funding for a group pushing legalized abortion in Kenya finds the administration broke the law.

The investigation by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the investigative arm of Congress, shows at least one Obama grantee openly pushed to expand abortion in Kenya despite a long-standing, annually renewed law that prohibits U.S. tax dollars from being used to lobby for or against abortion in other countries (known as the Siljander Amendment).

The GAO report also reveals that a key Obama official stonewalled investigators and refused to cooperate with the GAO in its investigation of the activities initiated by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department during the 2010 constitutional referendum in Kenya.

The Obama Administration basically hired surrogates to do its dirty work of abortion promotion in Kenya, said Congressman Chris Smith, a New Jersey Republican who is the chairman of the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health and Human Rights.

U.S. policy on international constitutional reform is, by law, supposed to be abortion-neutral Smith said. This new report shows that at a minimum the Obama Administration ignored the prohibition with the end result being a new Kenyan constitution that vastly expands access to abortion in Kenya, courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/probe-obama-admin-broke-law-to-push-abortion-in-kenya/

Cincinnati Funds Planned Parenthood Covering Up Child Rape
The Cincinnati Board of Health voted unanimously to give a sub-grant of up to $85,000 to the Planned Parenthood abortion business in the area, Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio. This is the same abortion business that was caught covering up a case of sexual abuse of a minor.

This is a reallocation of funds from Stop AIDS, which was defunded by the state after an independent audit, for Planned Parenthood to use for HIV/AIDS testing and prevention, Right to Life of Cincinnati executive director Paula Westwood told LifeNews today. Stop AIDS counselors will work for Planned Parenthood.

Though no government funding is to be used for abortion, funds to Planned Parenthood for any reason frees funds for other programs, Westwood said, adding that the grant comes at the same times as Congress is investigating Planned Parenthood in part because of misallocation and fraudulent usage of taxpayer funds. She said the probe also involves other concerns such as increasing evidence of ignoring suspected statutory rape of minor girls seeking abortions, as well as covering for sex traffickers; evidence and confirmation in some states of Medicaid fraud, and more.

ACTION: Contact the Cincinnati Board of Health and tell the members of the panel of your opposition to funding Planned Parenthood. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/cincinnati-funds-planned-parenthood-covering-up-child-rape/

New Timeline Explains Sebelius-Planned Parenthood Scandal
The pro-life group Operation Rescue has released a new timeline covering, very specifically, all of the details related to the massive scandal involving HHS Secretary and former Kansas governor Kathleen Sebelius.

The Obama official has come under heavy fire from prolife groups who are pointing out how a state attorney general she appointed in Kansas destroyed documents related 107 criminal charges former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline filed against the abortion business. The charges alleged that planned Parenthood failed to report cases of child rape on children on whom Planned Parenthood did abortions, that it failed to test whether an unborn child was viable (as required by state law) before doing a late-term abortion, and that it manipulated records it submitted to the state to cover up those crimes.

Because former attorney general Steve Six, the Sebelius appointee, destroyed the documents, a court dismissed all of the felony charges filed against Planned Parentood because the evidence supporting those charges had been destroyed.

Now, Operation Rescue has released today a brief video and updated timeline detailing events leading to the recent revelations that crucial evidence against a Kansas Planned Parenthood was destroyed. OR says the scandal is important because it involves one of the top officials in the Obama administration and the willful destruction of evidence against the nation s biggest abortion business. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/new-timeline-explains-sebelius-planned-parenthood-scandal/

Abortion Practitioner Quits After Texas Passes Pro-Life Laws
Abortion practitioner Neal Adam Poch has quit doing abortions at a Fort Worth, Texas Planned Parenthood abortion clinic and local pro-life advocates say a new pro-life law the state legislature approved is the reason why.

Jeff Williams, the coordinator for 40 Days for Life in the large northern Texas city says Poch quit his post as a Planned Parenthood abortion practitioner on Saturday. He credits the new law requiring abortion practitioners to give women considering an abortion the opportunity to see the ultrasound they perform beforehand with prompting Poch to stop doing abortions.

The abortionist that has been performing abortions at Planned Parenthood is 75 years old and he lives in Tyler, Texas, Williams said. For about 13 years he has driven from Tyler to Fort Worth weekly to perform abortions. With the new requirements of the law, his work load has nearly doubled in having to perform the ultrasounds on Wednesdays and Thursday morning early enough in the day to allow for 24 hours before they kill the babies on abortion days. With the significant increase in workload, the abortionist was unwilling to put forth the additional effort to continue killing babies in Fort Worth.

Dr. Neal Adam Poch has performed his last abortion, he said. And although Planned Parenthood will likely replace him, it is most likely that there will be no abortions at Planned Parenthood in Fort Worth this week. And that is an answer to many of our prayers. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/abortion-practitioner-quits-after-texas-passes-pro-life-laws/

No Surprise White House Knew Obamacare Didn t Ban Abortion Funds
Wouldn t it be nice if, by some act of magic, a law that endangers unborn children could be transformed into a life-affirming statute? Unfortunately, such magic does not exist; in fact, not even an order written by the President can modify language passed by Congress and signed by the President.

In an email written by then-Justice Department employee and well-known Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe, to then-Solicitor General (now Supreme Court Justice) Elena Kagan on the day that the Affordable Care Act passed the House of Representatives, Tribe gushed [s]o health care is basically done! Remarkable. And with the Stupak group accepting the magic of what amounts to a signing statement on steroids!

The signing statement on steroids that Tribe refers to is President Obama s Executive Order 13535, characterized by the White House as reaffirm[ing] [the Affordable Care Act s] consistency with longstanding restrictions on the use of federal funds for abortion. [1] However, as Tribe clearly recognized, the EO did not reaffirm existing law, and certainly did not cure the major abortion-funding flaw in the ACA the absence of a comprehensive prohibition on the use of federal funds for abortions and abortion coverage. In fact, the EO would more accurately be described as smoke and mirrors rather than magic. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/no-surprise-white-house-knew-obamacare-didnt-ban-abortion-funds/

Abortion Survivor Reflects on the Pain of Her Miscarriage
Every pregnancy is different, people kept reminding me. It must be a boy, who has the disposition of his father, all laid-back and calm, not fiery like his mother, Ryan and I joked. Call it a mother s intuition, but I knew there was something incredibly different about my second pregnancy than my first.

Little did I know when I wrote an article in early September 2011 for LifeNews that the major difference in my two pregnancies was that the first resulted in a live birth, and the second would tragically end by a miscarriage at 11 weeks.

What first started out as a mildly complicated pregnancy, when I was diagnosed with a ruptured ovarian cyst that I feared may result in miscarriage, quickly eased into a pregnancy absent of many of the uncomfortable symptoms that I experienced during my pregnancy with Olivia. No heartburn-hooray! No morning sickness-great! But as the 79 days of my pregnancy progressed, my contentment and joy with my pregnancy and the presence of our second child developing in the womb took a terrible turn. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/abortion-survivor-reflects-on-the-pain-of-her-miscarrage/

Pro-Lifers Stop Senate Democrats Bid to Tax-Fund Abortions
Senate Democrats have been stopped in their efforts to promote taxpayer funding of abortions and pro-abortion groups through the minibus bill the Senate was considering to fund various portions of the federal government.

Yesterday, an attempt by Senate Democrat leaders to fast-track a government funding bill with pro-abortion provisions ran into a procedural wall erected by a group of pro-life senators working in concert with the National Right to Life Committee. Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid, an abortion backer, attempted to move to the Senate floor the minibus bill combining three different appropriations bills. The bills contained seven different abortion funding and pro-abortion provisions NRLC and pro-life groups opposed.

Among other offensive provisions were sections that would have removed an existing ban on government funding of abortion in the District of Columbia, removed a longstanding ban on coverage of abortion in federal employees health plans, and earmarked $40 million for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) which promotes abortion and works hand-in-hand with population control officials in China enforcing the nation s one-child policy. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/pro-lifers-stop-senate-democrats-bid-to-tax-fund-abortions/

Rick Perry: De-Fund Planned Parenthood Abortion Business
Texas Gov. Rick Perry, one of the pro-life Republicans seeking the GOP nomination to take on pro-abortion President Barack Obama, stopped in Iowa for a campaign speech yesterday where he called for de-funding the Planned Parenthood abortion business. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/rick-perry-de-fund-planned-parenthood-abortion-business/

Huffintgon Post Doesn t Get It: Pro-Life is Pro-Woman
Women oppose abortion. Pro-abortion forces in the Democratic party, unable to face the facts, have instead engaged in a head-spinning, mind-numbing campaign to portray political victories for abortion as motivated by anti-woman animus. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/huffintgon-post-doesnt-get-it-pro-life-is-pro-woman/

Gallup: Americans Favor Repealing Abortion-Funding Obamacare
A new national survey from Gallup shows Americans favor repealing the Obamacare health care law opposed by pro-life groups because it allows abortion funding, fails to protect conscience rights and sparks rationing concerns. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/16/gallup-americans-favor-repealing-abortion-funding-obamacare/
