Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE: DAY 19: In their own words
Planned Parenthood is celebrating its 100th anniversary this week. As they celebrate ... we pray and we act. And prayer and action works!
Just ask Planned Parenthood about your presence. Here are just a few example of what they think of you.
A spokesman for a Missouri Planned Parenthood affiliate observed, "While the protesters have never been violent or inflammatory, their tactics are concerning. As a whole, the 40 Days for Life movement seems determined to shut us down."
A Planned Parenthood leader in the state of Washington said, "We know from past experience that these rallies and prayer vigils create barriers that deter our patients."
Why is 40 Days for Life so effective?
Nothing more ... nothing less.
It's not always easy to see prayer power. But if you're Planned Parenthood, you can sure feel it!
Planned Parenthood in Sioux Falls is the last abortion center in South Dakota ... and when the 40 Days for Life UNITED tour arrived there, abortion supporters were out to celebrate the abortion giant's 100th birthday.
How amazing to contemplate the irony of celebrating the birthday of an organization that prevents hundreds of thousands of children from celebrating their own birthdays every year!
Fortunately, around 70 faithful 40 Days for Life volunteers got up early on a Saturday morning to dwarf the pro-abortion contingent. Great job, South Dakota!
There's a little dirt trail in front of Planned Parenthood in Sioux City, Iowa. Prayer volunteers told us it was worn into the public right-of-way ... the results of years of faithful, prayerful presence. What commitment!
The candlelight vigil in Iowa City was truly a statewide rally with 100 attendees driving hours from Des Moines, Bettendorf, Ankeny and other cities from across the Hawkeye State.
Iowa City is a university town, and Sarah McCreary of Students for Life talked about the importance of praying and sidewalk counseling -- even when it is scary to do so.
Rachel from Informed Choices Medical Clinic described personally holding babies saved from abortion ... thanks to the presence of 40 Days for Life volunteers. There are few more impactful partnerships than the ones between strong 40 Days for Life campaigns and strong pregnancy help centers.
"There are babies being saved, not though protest, but through the power of prayer and the grace of God to touch hearts" ... [more]
"It is so amazing to see everyone together, involved to the fullest, to see them coming with love ... to fight for life, to open their hearts" ... [more]
If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant when they complained against me, what then shall I do when God rises up? When He punishes, how shall I answer Him? Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb?
God, forgive us when we try to explain away the obligation we have to help others who need help. Enable us to not devalue them because they are in the circumstance that they are in, but to see them for what they are, those, who like us, were formed by your hand in their mother's womb.
