Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE: DAY 25: Not safe
Abortion is never safe for the baby. If it was "safe," it would not accomplish its goal -- ending the life of the baby.
But despite what we've been told for 40 years, it's also not safe for the woman.
We see this scene a lot at 40 Days for Life vigils.
This most recent picture is from the 40 Days for Life team in St. Louis. The folks there keep track of these things ... and this was the 32nd ambulance call at this Planned Parenthood location since 2009.
We had a big crowd at our stop in Spokane, Washington ... as well as speakers from Gonzaga Students for Life, Silent No More, Life Services, and Human Life of Washington.
Planned Parenthood displayed a large banner with the words Champions for Choice. The banner has little to do with empowering women; it's there to celebrate fundraising successes.
There's big money in abortion ... as it was recently revealed the head of Planned Parenthood makes nearly $1 million a year!
Our vigil stop in Everett, Washington also featured outstanding attendance.
Rachel, the local leader, has been actively involved in pro-life efforts since she first learned about the tragedy of abortion in high school. She's now a mom of four ... and has been involved in 40 Days for Life for a decade.
We were also blessed to have testimonies from two different Silent No More speakers.
Matt Britton, the 40 Days for Life board chair, has been on the road during this campaign ... stopping at several vigil locations ... [more]
A mother who lost her child to an abortion returned to the abortion facility to grieve her loss. She brought a candle and flowers ... [more]
Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations."
-- Jeremiah 1:4-5
Lord God, we confess that in You we live and move and have our being. Because You are, we are. May we find grace from You to affirm the being of every human and may we labor to make this truth known to the world around us.
