Organizations like Planned Parenthood are making money on each and every abortion performed. To them, a dollar sign is the only thing visible. But to those of us who understand that abortion takes the life a preborn baby, the only thing visible is the shedding of innocent blood. To bridge this gap, there must be a change in mindset. Babies cannot be seen as burdens and waste to be discarded. They must be seen as they truly are-humans made in the image and likeness of God. That's the message from Vanderbilt University's nursing residency program, where the school requires applicants to sign a pledge stating they'll participate in abortions. The Christian legal group Alliance Defense Fund has filed a complaint with the federal Department of Health and Human Services in response stating the policy violates federal law.

The Issues4Life Foundation, in partnership with The Radiance Foundation, launches an abortion awareness and pro-adoption themed campaign, entitled "Endangered Species." California is the nation's abortion capital with over 208,000 abortions (in the latest year reported) among its 424 abortion clinics. This African-American led initiative exposes Planned Parenthood's racist and eugenics-based history and unaltered course. According to the CDC, the black abortion rate is 3 times that of whites and 2 times that of all other races combined -- differences which cannot be explained by "lack of access" or "health care disparities." Seventy (70) billboards stating "Black Children Are An Endangered Species -- TooManyAborted.Com" are placed throughout Los Angeles.

Pope Benedict XVI struck back at European secularists this week who have mandated anti-Christian sex education and civics classes for young people and who are attacking the conscience rights of health care workers. In remarks to the assembled diplomatic corps of the Vatican on Monday, Benedict warned that although free religious expression is a constitutionally recognized right in most European countries, the religious freedom of believers is threatened by a heavily secularized statism.
