In rural South Sudan, CMMB’s rickshaw
ambulances transport patients to medical facilities in emergencies,
providing much needed support in a resource-limited setting. These
ambulances are fuel efficient, low-cost, and small enough to navigate
narrow roads and paths inaccessible to other vehicles. These ambulances
are the difference between life and death for a patient in urgent need
of medical care. In order to transport patients to medical facilities
when they need care, the ambulances need to be in ready-to-go, working
order.
