Your Weekly Reflection from CMMB 1/17/16

"The one who has hope lives differently; the one who hopes has been granted the gift of a new life."                  - Pope Benedict XVI

“I thought my life was over.”

Five years ago, Jeanne was hopeless. She had just been diagnosed with HIV. Today, she is an artisan, making beautiful jewelry and handbags. With support from CMMB and the SIDALE Program in Haiti (Sidale means “AIDS Go Away”), Jeanne is successfully living with her illness and sharing the God-given gifts of her creative spirit. The SIDALE Program in Haiti is the answer to a prayer for patients like Jeanne. CMMB partners with 6 faith-based hospitals to provide testing, treatment and counseling to Haitians who need it.
As Catholics, we are dedicated to continuing the healing mission of Jesus by improving the well-being of the communities we serve. We also believe healthcare should be delivered with dignity, compassion and love. Please keep the mothers and children we serve, and their communities in your prayers.
Yours in faith,

Catholic Medical Mission Board
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this - that the One who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (cf. Philippians 1)
