Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.
Even though this
year's 9 Days for Life novena has concluded, we
need to keep praying and working for the respect and protection of each person’s
life, from conception to death.
Can we count on you?
Here are 5 simple ways you can make a difference:
1. Tell us your story! How did you participate in 9 Days for Life this year?
Did you gather
with friends or family to pray, discuss, or do one of the acts of reparation
together? Did you share
the experience online? What did you gain from the experience? Let us
know by email at firstname.lastname@example.org!
2. Pray Keep up the prayers throughout the year with monthly
messages similar in format to the novena. Look for the first monthly email next week!
Also, the U.S. bishops invite the
faithful to join a movement of prayer and sacrifice for the protection of life,
marriage, and religious liberty in our country. Learn more and sign up for
weekly intentions by email, text message, or social media at www.usccb.org/pray.
3. Invite Invite
your friends to join you in prayer and action throughout the year. They
can sign up to receive the monthly messages either by email or text message.
Bonus: By doing so, they’ll automatically receive the 9 Days for Life novena next year!
