40 Days For Life: DAY 26: UNPLANNED: one year later

Bellevue, Washington Local leader Bridget said there's nothing quite like spending time in prayer for an end to abortion during a virus outbreak. (I can't disagree!) "Hope, joy, faith and love rang through the air as a small number of prayer warriors stood in front of Bellevue Planned Parenthood," she said. Miss Bellevue even joined the vigil. Though vigil sizes are small in the age of "social distancing," Bridget said, "The power of prayer is so strong and present in these dark times."

Lansing, Michigan The streets and sidewalks in most cities are largely empty this week... ...but the impact of public witness still touches hearts. Chris in Lansing said a motorist stopped her car to share that she had an abortion after being raped. She's now an active pro-lifer and eagerly accepted information on post-abortion healing and support resources. Another passerby shared that he was adopted and thanked volunteers for being present. "Although I am not aware of a confirmed save during our local campaign, there is no doubt that our prayer presence does have an effect," Chris said. "From the stares of the clinic workers to the passing gestures of those driving by, the fact that we are there impacts those who see us."
