40 Days For Life: DAY 9: Abortion worker joins vigil

No one grows up wanting to work in the abortion industry.
Abortion workers are not our enemies; they are opportunities to witness to the freeing mercy of Jesus Christ. He is the One who can orchestrate you praying next to a former abortion worker at your vigil.
Former Planned Parenthood manager Sue Thayer knows this all too well. When she visited Arizona, she was not the only abortion worker at the vigil.
Former Planned Parenthood employee and whistle blower Mayra Rodriguez returned to her former workplace for the first time since being fired--this time to pray with Glendale 40 Days for Life participants.
Last year, Rodriguez won a $3 million lawsuit against Planned Parenthood after she was fired for reporting a pattern of botched abortions, document falsification, failure to report sexual abuse of minors, and more!
I am here today because of your prayers,” she told the crowd.

"Through the kind and loving eyes of Mayra, we can clearly see that Planned Parenthood's employees are not the enemy," wrote Jim, who leads the Tempe campaign (where Mayra and Sue also spoke).
"So let us always remember that with God, all things are possible, and never stop praying for a change of heart in abortion workers."

Nashville, Tennessee

Keep Nashville in your prayers! Earlier this week, the city was devastated by a deadly storm that took dozens of lives.
While Nashville begins to pick up the pieces, 40 Days for Life prayer warriors continue their vigil. The day after the storm, they saved a baby!
"A volunteer was able to speak with a man whose wife was inside the facility seeking an abortion," wrote Kathleen, the local leader. "Our volunteer prayed with the man, told him about local resources, and urged him to talk to his wife. As the couple pulled out of the parking lot, they said they were keeping the baby!"

Warri, Nigeria

Passersby approached vigil participants to ask why they are praying to end abortion, arguing that during pregnancy, a baby is not yet formed.
The Warri team educated the passersby by providing information on fetal development. "Many could not believe that the baby's heart has started beating at 21 days," reported Joy, the vigil leader.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:14
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and saving grace in Christ Jesus. Help us to realize every day the great blessing we have in our Savior. I pray that we will rise every morning with excitement and zeal, looking forward to walking another day in your footsteps fully knowing that you continue to dwell among us.
