Are Abortions Starting Up in Wilkes-Barre?
By Maria V. Gallagher, Legislative Director
For some time now, the Wilkes-Barre Planned Parenthood has denied performing abortions at its facility in Wilkes-Barre. But recently, the center has been added to the list of abortion facilities in Pennsylvania. (The total list of free-standing abortion centers numbers 18, but two are listed as closed.)
The status of the Planned Parenthood Keystone in Wilkes-Barre reads “open.” The “Patient Care Survey Data” provides the health inspection results for the center. This inspection report indicates that state health regulators surveyed the facility on January 13th and January 29th. The survey included “telemedicine abortion administration.”
It is a massive tragedy when a facility begins performing abortions in a community. Whether abortions are currently being performed in Wilkes-Barre or the facility is now gearing up to perform them, this is a devastating development in an area so dedicated to preserving innocent human life.
The health inspection report clearly shows that the aim of Planned Parenthood is to perform abortions—not to reduce them. At a time when so many Americans want restrictions on abortion, Planned Parenthood is once again demonstrating that it places money—the money derived from abortions—over the well-being of members of the human race.

It’s a phenomenal
alternatives-to-abortion
success story
By Maria V. Gallagher, Legislative Director
Imagine three college football stadiums, filled with capacity crowds. That has been the amazing reach of Pennsylvania’s Pregnancy & Parenting Support Services Program, which is administered by Real Alternatives, Inc. More than 318,000 clients have been served by the program, which has become a model for the rest of the nation. Those hundreds of thousands of women have made more than 1.6 million visits to the program’s service providers throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There, they receive comprehensive counseling and support during challenging pregnancies. As the program’s literature states, “An alternative to abortion is not a pamphlet—it is another person.” Read more

Our Virtual Baby at 10 weeks!
Bones and cartilage are forming throughout the body but are still quite soft and fragile. The liver and kidneys are formed and functioning, but waste, like toxins or carbon dioxide, are removed through the umbilical cord and routed into mother's blood stream. The size of an olive, about 1.5 inches, the baby has now entered the fetal stage.
