FROM SUSAN B. ANTHONY LIST:

SBA List Voter Contact Efforts to Reach 1.3 Million Pro-Life Voters
'American voters deserve to know the truth about who really is - and isn't - on the side of unborn children'

SBA List Launches Voter Education and Mobilization Program, Targets 1.3 Million Pro-Life Voters in Battleground States

WASHINGTON, October 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Today, the President of the Susan B. Anthony List offered the following statement about the organization's recent efforts to educate pro- life voters in battleground states across the country:

"Today the Susan B. Anthony List's efforts to educate and mobilize over one million pro-life voters have kicked into high gear," said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. "The Susan B. Anthony List's efforts will play an invaluable educational role over the next few weeks. While Barack Obama avoids his legislative record of opposing protections for abortion survivors, we are there to stand up for the truth. While Senate candidates like Al Franken in Minnesota and Kay Hagan in North Carolina hide their extreme support for abortion on-demand from the voters, we are there to expose it. American voters deserve to know the truth about who really is - and isn't - on the side of unborn children."

The Susan B. Anthony List is implementing a sophisticated voter education and mobilization program that will target over 1.3 million pro-life voters through mail, radio and phone-banking across key battleground states. Currently, educational ads are running on Christian radio in four states: Colorado, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. The ads can be heard on the organization's website, www.sba-list.org.

"The future of women and their unborn children hangs in the balance with this election. And we are working overtime to educate voters about the candidates who are truly committed to defending innocent human life."

The program will target voters in nine battleground states. Education efforts in five states will focus on competitive U.S. Senate Races: Colorado, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Hampshire and North Carolina. Efforts in seven Presidential battleground states will highlight McCain and Obama's records on Life: Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Since its founding, the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund has helped elect 75 pro-life candidates to the House, seven to the Senate, and seven to other statewide offices across the country.

The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of Americans, over 149,000 residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics. Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.
