“He covered his eyes with his hand and said, ‘That is horrible’”
Two, possibly three turn-arounds at San Diego abortion center
Family Planning Associates, San Diego, Wednesday, April 23, 2009
This was another unusual day at FPA. The unusual days seem to be turning into the usual at FPA. Throughout the morning, four prayer warriors came out. Approximately ten women entered the mill today, and praise be to Almighty God and Our Lady of Guadalupe, there were two, possibly three turn-arounds!
Arriving at 7:30 a.m., a little earlier than usual, I was alone for about a half hour when the first abortion-intent young couple from Baja pulled in. It was 7:40. After informing them of the abortionist's history, including the fact that his license had been suspended twice within eight years, I encouraged them to leave and go see a competent doctor. I gave them a Culture of Life Family Services business card and exact driving directions. Expressing their gratitude, they pulled in, stopped to read the pamphlet a bit more, then quickly turned and drove out the opposite exit and did not return.
The second turn-around came about an hour or so later. A car with a group of young women pulled in the main driveway. Stopping them, I went over the pamphlet describing the abortionist's history of numerous lawsuits for medical malpractice and gross negligence, etc., as well relating testimonies from women I had personally spoken with. Then, after giving them a COLFS' business card, they expressed their gratitude, asked for directions, pulled in and drove right out, heading for the freeway.
Between having a headache that seemed to get worse as the morning progressed and FPA's guard, who was more annoying than normal, I used three powerful sacramentals in abundance: Blessed Salt, Holy Water and Holy Oil. I had a very strong feeling the entire morning that something very good and different might take place.
Sure enough, around 10:20 a gentleman of Middle Eastern descent drove up to the exit and, before I could speak, he asked, "What's all this about?" Going right to the pink pamphlet entitled "Before You Choose," I explained we were there to prevent women from being hurt and babies from being slaughtered inside the abortion mill. Then, going into great detail, I explained exactly what I meant. He covered his eyes with his hand and said, "That is horrible."
I went on to tell him the young girls may be getting anesthesia, but the babies inside them, while being tortured to death, were not. I showed him the picture of the six-week-old ectopic baby, stating, "This baby deserves the right to life". After some additional discussion, he agreed, and said he was going to talk to the person he dropped off and relate everything I had said and had given to him, including letting her know all the alternatives we had discussed. After waiting an additional 20 minutes, or so, I did not see either of them come out. So, leaving them in the hands of Our Lady and her Son, we left. It was now 10:50 am. Please continue to pray for this couple.
On the way to my car, I noticed a young man sitting alone and asked him if he'd like a rosary. He said he would and then told me his girlfriend suffered a miscarriage. Expressing my sorrow, I told him about COLFS, encouraging him to seek follow-up care from a competent physician. I asked his name and that of his girlfriend so we could remember them in our prayers. Smiling, he expressed his gratitude, quickly telling me her name, "J.S." and his, "R.” Please remember them.
Thank you to everyone who came out to FPA today, and to those unable to be physically present who pray and sacrifice for the unborn at home or at work. You saved two, possibly three of God's Precious Infants! Please continue to pray for those who turned away from the abortion mill today that they continue to choose life for their unborn babies, for the conversion of those who had the abortion, as well as for the conversion of the abortionist, Robert Santella.
In Christ thru Mary,
