Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

I received this update on Rev. Hoye and want to share it with you:
Greetings Everyone!
We wanted to give you a few updates on Walter and his upcoming activities. Walter and Lori are both doing well. They were able to have some time away last week for some much needed and well-deserved R & R, and this week are visiting relatives. Walter is gradually regaining his health and strength, and given all that he has been through, he is actually doing well. He asked that you all specifically be given this message – he thanks everyone and he loves you all!
For those who didn't see it, Pastor Hoye's thank you letter which he sent out on April 13th was posted in the Discussion Board. Also, there was an article on the front page of the Contra Costa Times on April 11th which you can view at: http://www.contracostatimes.com/search/ci_12118108?IADID=Search-www.contracostatimes.com-www.contracostatimes.com
Last Sunday, April 19th, Walter and Lori participated in "Temecula's Walk for Life" which was sponsored by Birth Choice of Temecula. You can visit their website for more information at: http://www.birthchoicetemecula.com/

On Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. (PST), Walter will once again be a guest on Teresa Tomeo's radio show Catholic Connection on Ave Maria Radio. You can also listen to the program later via podcast at the Audio Archives tab.
Thursday, May 7th is the National Day of Prayer. Pastor Hoye has decided to return to the Oakland Clinic on this day to once again take up his sidewalk counseling. The clinic is located at 200 Webster Street in Oakland, and he will be there from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. For anyone in the SF Bay Area, Walter welcomes you to come and pray with him there at the clinic.
For those of you who are runners, the Fourth Annual Run 4Life will be on Sunday, July 26th, 2009 in San Francisco. More information can be found on Walter's website under Events at: http://www.issues4life.org/
Their goal is to have 100 runners/walkers in the Run SF Marathon. Walter and Lori will have a black baby rag doll on their backs while they are running. To join the Run4Life team go to: https://secure2.merchantcart.net/runsfm/TeamWebPage.cfm?tid=5409
