CBS affiliate KTVA in Alaska was caught on tape Thursday in the most provocative accidental voicemail message scandal of the campaign season to date.
It's really not a good idea to for reporters to have a conversation about ways the CBS affiliate might be able to discredit the Republican candidate right after leaving a phone message for the candidate's press representative. They may find that the voicemail is still recording.
It's so blatant it's reminiscent of a world's stupidest criminals caught by police scenario.
The CBS reporters are caught on tape discussing how they might find a registered sex offender/child molester in the crowd at Republican candidate Joe Miller's rally so the CBS reporters can smear the candidate with that particurlarly henious history of a possible random attendee.
Granted the CBS affiliate didn't actually recruit a sex offender to attend so they could report it (that might be unethical!), but the station's excuse they were talking about possible scenarios that could happen at the rally doesn't hold water.
The transcript of the call does not line up with KTVA's explanation.
FEMALE REPORTER: That’s up to you because you're the expert, but that’s what I would do... I’d wait until you see who showed up because that indicates we already know something...
[Laughter] [INAUDIBLE]
FEMALE REPORTER: Child molesters...
MALE REPORTER: Oh yeah... can you repeat Joe Miller’s...uh... list of people, campaign workers, which one's the molester?
[INAUDIBLE]
FEMALE VOICE: We know that out of all the people that will show up tonight, at least one of
them will be a registered sex offender.[Laughter]
MALE REPORTER: You have to find that one person...
[INAUDIBLE]
FEMALE REPORTER: And the one thing we can do is ....we won’t know....we won’t know but if there is any sort of chaos whatsoever we can put out a twitter/facebook alert: saying what the... ‘Hey Joe Miller punched at rally.’
FEMALE REPORTER: Kinda like Rand Paul...I like that.
[Laughter]
FEMALE REPORTER: That’s a good one.
Is anyone actually surprised that conservative candidates don't want to speak to the so-called mainstream media? These CBS reporters think it's hilarious to smear the conservative candidate with something as serious as child molestation. Yeah, that's hilarious.

This is a really sick report! These so called reporters should be fired for what they did. The evidence is there for all to see. CBS News should be ashamed of it's reporters!
